Class 26: oaas ChamPionshiP QuilT ComPeTiTion rules<br />
District and Ontario Quilt Competitions sponsored by the Ontario Association of <strong>Agricultural</strong> Societies.<br />
The handmade quilt from this section judged “Best of <strong>Show</strong>” may go on to District and Provincial<br />
competitions. (If the quilt wins first place at more than one fair, the quilt judged second may also enter<br />
the District competition). District prizes awarded: $25, $15, and $10. Only the first-place quilt at the<br />
District Competition is eligible to enter the Championship Quilt competition at the Annual Convention<br />
in Toronto. The annual winning entry will be declared the Ontario Association of <strong>Agricultural</strong> Societies<br />
Championship Quilt, with a $500. Grand Prize, certificate and ribbon awarded. The exhibitor retains<br />
ownership of the quilt.<br />
Ontario Association of <strong>Agricultural</strong> Societies - Annual Machine Championship Quilt Competition<br />
Eligibility, Rules and Regulations, General Conditions:<br />
A. Entries must be solely made and machine quilted by the exhibitor, and exhibited and judged at a<br />
local Ontario Association of <strong>Agricultural</strong> Societies (OAAS) <strong>Fair</strong> to be eligible for this competition.<br />
B. Entry quilts must be minimum of 72” X 90” (smaller quilts will not be eligible to proceed to the<br />
next levels of competition).<br />
C. Judging will occur at local fairs and district levels. A Provincial Grand Champion Machine Quilt<br />
will be selected at the annual convention of OAAS.<br />
D. Upon making entry into the OAAS Machine Quilt Competition, the Exhibitor agrees to participate<br />
in any promotional activities related to the competition.<br />
E. The winning OAAS Champion Machine Quilt will not be eligible to compete in future District and<br />
or Convention OAAS competitions.<br />
F. The winner’s name will be displayed at the <strong>Fair</strong> on a sign provided by OAAS.<br />
G. The quilt must not Class be quilted 27: using afghans a long arm (Sample machine of and yarn must to be machine attached) quilted by the exhibitor.<br />
