last Wednesday with only the<br />
immediate family present. <strong>The</strong> bride<br />
is a daughter <strong>of</strong> Joseph Mayer, a<br />

Anthony Mayer <strong>of</strong> Deatsville. A<br />
number <strong>of</strong> entertainments cancelled<br />

Article - Commencement exercises at<br />
Bardstown Junction graded school;<br />
decorations, 2nd exercise <strong>of</strong> its kind<br />
ever held in <strong>Bullitt</strong> <strong>County</strong>, three<br />
graduates, Pr<strong>of</strong>. Litsey is leaving to<br />
take principalship <strong>of</strong> school in<br />
Bloomfield.<br />
W. L. Cooper and Joe Ball celebrated<br />
Fourth with 25 mile tramp through<br />
Knobs. Joe says they told him that<br />
was a good place to hunt and they<br />
told the truth. He did lots <strong>of</strong> hunting,<br />
but found only one poor squirrel.<br />
Since that tramp, he is also convinced<br />
that the fellow who told him the<br />
world was round like a ball didn't<br />
know what he was talking about.<br />
Mr. E. D. Jones and Miss Susan<br />
Virginia Pendleton were quietly<br />
married Wednesday by Rev. Bolton<br />
at home <strong>of</strong> bride's father, Mr. David<br />
Pendleton. Immediately after the<br />
ceremony, they left for St. Louis<br />
where they expect to remain a couple<br />
<strong>of</strong> weeks.<br />
