The Julia Maher and Dr. Joseph D’Angelo<br />

Scholarship, established in 2007, provides financial<br />

assistance to students demonstrating need.<br />

The 1st Lt. Travis J. Manion ’99 Grant Fund,<br />

established in 2007, provides financial assistance<br />

to a current student demonstrating need who<br />

has been identified as having the character traits<br />

that embodied Travis Manion during his years as a<br />

student at <strong>La</strong> <strong>Salle</strong> <strong>College</strong> <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong>.<br />

The Christopher Matthews ’63 Grant Fund<br />

provides financial assistance to students<br />

demonstrating need from the city of Philadelphia.<br />

The Charles F. and Verna M. McCafferty Grant<br />

Fund provides financial assistance to students<br />

demonstrating need.<br />

The David T. McCarthy ’66 Scholarship Fund,<br />

established in 1999 by his family and friends,<br />

provides financial assistance to students demonstrating<br />

need.<br />

The Timothy J. McNichol ’97 Grant Fund provides<br />

financial assistance to students from St. Philip<br />

Neri Parish in <strong>La</strong>fayette Hill, PA.<br />

The Jack Meehan ’38 Trust Fund, established<br />

in 1989 by his family. Mr. Meehan, an affiliate<br />

Christian Brother, was a long time benefactor of<br />

<strong>La</strong> <strong>Salle</strong>. This fund provides financial assistance to<br />

students demonstrating need.<br />

The Ernest J. Mehr Trust Fund, established in<br />

1985 by Muriel Mehr, retired faculty member, in<br />

memory of her husband. This fund provides financial<br />

assistance to students demonstrating need.<br />

The Men of <strong>La</strong> <strong>Salle</strong> Endowment Fund assures<br />

that no student of <strong>La</strong> <strong>Salle</strong> <strong>College</strong> <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong> will<br />

have his education interrupted due to the death of<br />

a primary wage earner.<br />

The Miles Miller ’04 Grant Fund, established<br />

in 2004, provides financial assistance to students<br />

demonstrating need.<br />

The J. Anthony Mitchell ’56 Grant Fund<br />

provides financial assistance to students<br />

demonstrating need.<br />

The Joseph L. Moran ’45 Trust Fund, established<br />

in 1976 by <strong>La</strong> <strong>Salle</strong> <strong>College</strong> <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong> Alumni,<br />

provides monies for an outstanding student of<br />

Spanish to study/travel to a Spanish-speaking<br />

country in the summer preceding his junior year.<br />

The Charles J. “O’Bie” O’Brien Trust Fund<br />

provides financial assistance to students<br />

demonstrating need.<br />

The Frank M. Ponti ’56 Grant Fund, established<br />

in 2006, provides financial assistance to students<br />

demonstrating need.<br />

The Joseph M. Queenan ’65 Scholarship Fund,<br />

established in 2004, provides financial assistance to<br />

students demonstrating need.<br />

The Frank and Mary Radomski ’40 Trust Fund,<br />

established in 1989 in his memory by the Radomski<br />

Family, provides financial assistance to students<br />

demonstrating need.<br />

The David and Elizabeth Savaiano Grant Fund,<br />

established in 2001, provides financial assistance to<br />

students demonstrating need.<br />

The Mae Kutzer Schmitt Fund, established in<br />

1983 by John Schmitt ’58 to honor his mother,<br />

provides aid to a “<strong>La</strong> <strong>Salle</strong> student of character<br />

and promise”.<br />

The Scola Family Scholarship Fund in memory<br />

of Pietro and Vito Scola, established in 2007, provides<br />

financial assistance to a student demonstrating<br />

need with special consideration to candidates<br />

who are of Italian-American decent and reside in<br />

either Northeast or South Philadelphia.<br />

The Brother Robert F. Shea, FSC Trust Fund,<br />

established in 1990 by Brother Robert from gifts<br />

that he received on the occasion of his 25th<br />

anniversary as a Christian Brother, provides financial<br />

assistance to students demonstrating need.<br />

The Elizabeth B. Slabinski Scholarship Fund,<br />

provides financial assistance to students demonstrating<br />

need from the city of Philadelphia.<br />

The Brother Fred Stelmach, FSC ’46 Endowed<br />

Scholarship Fund, established in 1996 by <strong>La</strong> <strong>Salle</strong><br />

<strong>College</strong> <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong> alumni and friends of Brother<br />

Fred, provides financial assistance to students<br />

demonstrating need.<br />

The Gerald A. Tremblay ’53 Scholarship Fund<br />

provides financial assistance to students demonstrating<br />

need from the city of Philadelphia who<br />

demonstrate exceptional ability and promise.<br />

The William H. Vincent, Jr. ’56 Grant Fund<br />

provides financial assistance to students<br />

demonstrating need.<br />

The Karl and Mary-Elizabeth von Lipsey<br />

Scholarship Fund, established in 2009 by<br />

Roderick K. von Lipsey ’76, provides financial assistance<br />

to students of demonstrated need, who<br />

possess scholastic aptitude and growth potential,<br />

and whose principal financial sponsor is a public<br />

servant/employee.<br />

The Robert J. Walker ’52 Scholarship Fund,<br />

established in 2002, provides financial assistance<br />

to students demonstrating need.<br />

The Andrew Wallace ’92 Endowment Fund<br />

provides financial assistance to students demonstrating<br />

need.<br />

The Brother Anthony Wallace Trust Fund,<br />

established in 1986 by Thomas J. Ryan ’60 in<br />

honor of Brother Anthony and his many years of<br />

devoted service at <strong>La</strong> <strong>Salle</strong>, provides financial<br />

assistance to students demonstrating need.<br />

The Florence M. Ward Scholarship Fund,<br />

established in 1990 by the Class of 1950 in honor<br />

of Mrs. Ward, former Director of Alumni Affairs,<br />

on the occasion of her retirement.<br />

The Joseph W. Wesner ’73 Scholarship Fund,<br />

established in 2002, awarded by the art<br />

department to talented current students.<br />

The John Whalen ’67 Grant Fund, established<br />

in 2006, provides financial assistance to students<br />

demonstrating need.<br />

The Charles C. Wynn ’46 Grant Fund,<br />

established by Charles C. Wynn ’46, provides<br />

financial assistance to the rowing program.<br />
