1970’s<br />
Phil Cassidy ’70 that he just returned from his 21st consecutive year visiting<br />
the Saratoga Springs Racetrack – fellow alums were Mike Cassidy ’74, Joe<br />
Winning ’69, John Wozniak ’77, Bill Benz ’72, Gerry Lowery ’78 and Connell<br />
McConeghy ’88. Men of <strong>La</strong> <strong>Salle</strong> fathers on the trip included Kevin Agnew,<br />
Joe Ferrier and Joe Winning.<br />
Gerald Burke, MD ’71 graduated from Rutgers Camden <strong>La</strong>w <strong>School</strong> in May<br />
2009, while continuing to practice medicine on a full-time basis. He was fortunate<br />
to pass the PA and NJ bar exams in February of 2009.<br />
Gerald Hathaway, Esq. ’72 was elected as a fellow to the <strong>College</strong> of <strong>La</strong>bor<br />
and Employment <strong>La</strong>wyers. Jerry works in the New York City office of Littler<br />
Mendelson, P.C. Election as a Fellow is the highest recognition by one’s colleagues<br />
of sustained outstanding performance in the profession, exemplifying<br />
integrity, dedication and excellence.<br />
The fourteenth installation of Fellows will be held November 7, 2009 in<br />
Washington, DC, coincident with the American Bar Association’s <strong>La</strong>bor and<br />
Employment Section’s Continuing Legal Education Conference. With the<br />
current installation, the <strong>College</strong> is represented by over one thousand<br />
members in forty-three states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico<br />
and Canada.<br />
The <strong>College</strong> was the vision of a number of the Fellows. The idea was to<br />
further establish this profession in all its aspects as one uniquely important<br />
to the world of labor and employment law, individual rights, collective bargaining<br />
and dispute resolution. The <strong>College</strong> was established in 1995 through<br />
an initiative of the Council of the Section of <strong>La</strong>bor and Employment <strong>La</strong>w of<br />
the American Bar Association. It operates as a free standing organization<br />
recognizing those who, by long and outstanding service, have distinguished<br />
themselves as leaders in the field.<br />
Nicholas Rongione ’72 was elected to Board of Directors of the West Boca<br />
Community Counsel, an umbrella organization consisting of over one hundred<br />
homeowners associations in Boca Raton, FL.<br />
Kevin Weinstein, Esq. ’72 and his wife, Mary, welcomed their first grandchild<br />
this past January.<br />
John Fornace, DO ’73 writes that his two sons, Christopher ’06 and Daniel<br />
’07, along with his nephew Liam O’Neill ’07 have all graduated from <strong>La</strong> <strong>Salle</strong><br />
<strong>College</strong> <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong> and now attend Drexel University.<br />
Vincent Hee ’73 after thirteen years of installing and repairing slate, tile,<br />
metal and asphalt roofing, gutters and siding; nine years as a Sales/Project<br />
Manager and five more years as a Sales Manager for Russell Roofing, has<br />
successfully started Vince Hee Roofing and is ready to help any alum.<br />
Thomas Keating ’73 has been elected to the Iowa <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong> Athletic<br />
Association’s Board of Control and will be inducted into Iowa Volleyball<br />
Coaches Hall of Fame in November 2009.<br />
Rory <strong>La</strong>wler ‘73, together with his son Darcy, has opened a shop named<br />
Darcy’s in the Flourtown Farmers Market in Flourtown, PA.<br />

Mike Hoehn ‘74 and classmate Pete Salmon are working to improve the golf<br />
games of their fellow classmates Bob Gerngross and Phil Kelly.<br />
Ronald Tomasso, AIA ’74 had a wonderful trip to Sicily in June.<br />
John Suchy ’75 in addition to representing the Lindal Cedar Homes, is<br />
currently the Associate Broker and Office Manager of Coldwell Banker<br />
Hearthside in Ottsville, PA. Their office is in what was the Harrow Inn – Chef<br />
Tell’s old restaurant! “We think the place is haunted by his spirit – a good<br />
spirit.”<br />
John Toy ’76 is entering his seventh year with Capgemini and just about<br />
recovered from Hurricane Ike.<br />
James Young ’78 sends his regards to all his classmates.<br />
George Johnson ’79 is working at JP Morgan Chase in Commercial Lending<br />
Group. His son, Kevin, graduated in May as a member of the Class of 2009.<br />
1980’s<br />
John Borek, LTC (Ret) ’80 accepted a position with the Defense Department<br />
as a Senior Intelligence Analyst.<br />
Paul Kollmer-Dorsey ’81 joined the Broadcasting Board of Governors as<br />
Deputy General Counsel and Acting General Counsel. The Broadcasting Board<br />
of Governors, encompassing all US civilian international broadcasting, is an<br />
independent federal agency that broadcasts in sixty languages to key<br />
audiences around the world and acts as an example of a free and professional<br />
press. Paul currently resides in Washington, DC and has more than twenty<br />
years of legal experience supporting global technology and communicationsbased<br />
enterprises.<br />
LTC Michael Masucci, USAF ’81 retired from USAF last year after twentythree<br />
years of service. Michael is now flying as a corporate pilot for XOJet,<br />
Inc, an owner and charter private flying service flying the Citation X Aircraft.<br />
John Toner ’82 is enjoying his “second-time” through <strong>La</strong> <strong>Salle</strong> <strong>College</strong> <strong>High</strong><br />
<strong>School</strong> with his sons, John ’10 and Billy ’12.<br />
William O’Brien, III, DO ’83 is CEO of HyperOx, Inc., a hyperbaric oxygen<br />
company that was awarded a federal grant to start Autism Research.<br />
Mike Stoughton ‘83 is one of those people willing to take a chance.<br />
Leaving the corporate world behind. While so many people dream about it,<br />
not many actually have the gumption to do it.<br />
After working as a software developer for the majority of his adult life, the<br />
43-year-old Medford resident decided he was going to<br />
pursue his dream.<br />
“My whole life I’ve been told ‘you have a great voice, you love<br />
baseball…you’ve got to do something about it’,” said Stoughton.<br />
“I figured, if I could get a job that pays me to go to baseball<br />
games, that would be heaven.”
