Continuous <strong>Sampling</strong> <strong>Device</strong> – <strong>30</strong> Minutes<br />

1. Range of Application<br />

This sampling device is meant for continuous olfactometrical sampling.<br />

This sampling procedure is the mandatory regulation standard in Germany<br />

for measurements ordered by authorities or governmental agencies.<br />

2. Product Description<br />

The continuous sampling device consists of a vacuum container the interior<br />

of which is exhausted by an integrated compressor. The location of the<br />

sampling point and the sampling device are connected by a probe. Exhausting<br />

the interior of the sampling device causes the inside sample bag to fill<br />

with sample air via the probe. There is a calibrated nozzle within the<br />

control unit of the sampling device. The volumetric flow and therefore the<br />

filling time of the bag are controlled by the choice of the nozzles diameter<br />

and the applied pressure difference. The sampling is independent from the<br />

pressure conditions at the sampling point within a range of 150 mbar<br />

(vacuum) pressure.<br />

By use of the standard nozzle the filling of a 10l bag takes <strong>30</strong> minutes.<br />

The final break occurs automatically by a switching probe if the bag is full.<br />

Furthermore it is possible to switch off the device earlier by a countdown<br />

timer.<br />

The parts containing the sample are made of PTFE and stainless steel. They<br />

satisfy the material requirements of DIN EN 13725:2003(D). For optical<br />

control the cylinder is made of transparent PVC.<br />

The continuous sampling device is stable, robust, light and manageable.<br />

The sampling does not require current supply because the sampling device<br />

runs by storage batteries.<br />
