• The knee system literature search identified a total 25 studies. One
was a randomized controlled trial (RCT), 12 were prospective
comparative studies, 2 retrospective comparative studies, and 10
were prospective/retrospective case series. The 25 studies included
a total population of 4347 with 5439 knees. Of the total population,
60.6% were females and 39.4% were males. The mean age of the
patients was 69.1 years (range 28 to 91 years). The follow up varied
from 3 months to 11 years.
