Sandy Matteson-Pierson is the executive<br />
director of Sandestin Owners Association. She<br />
has more than twenty years experience<br />
managing signature communities throughout<br />
Florida for some the state’s most prestigious<br />
builders and developers.<br />
Ms. Matteson-Pierson is a graduate of Florida State University where she served in<br />
several student government leadership roles. She began her career in community<br />
association management shortly after graduation working for Arvida, a developer<br />
specializing in the development of master planned communities. Most recently she<br />
was the Regional Community Manager for The St. <strong>Joe</strong> Company in Northwest<br />
Florida.<br />
Ms. Matteson-Pierson has been awarded the prestigious Professional Community<br />
Association Manager (<strong>PCAM</strong>) designation with further recognition of her<br />
achievements managing master planned communities with the receipt of the Large<br />
Scale Manager (<strong>LSM</strong>) designation, both awarded by the Community Associations<br />
Institute (CAI). In additional to her professional recognition, she is actively<br />
involved in CAI serving as Vice Chair of the Institute’s Large Scale Managers<br />
Committee as well as serving in the same capacity for the Foundation for<br />
Community Association Research. She is a former President of the Gold Coast<br />
Chapter of CAI and an instructor for community college classes for manager<br />
licensing.<br />
