Class project
transforms
into business
WHITEWATER
— Two University
of Wisconsin-
Whitewater students
have created
their own holiday
business selling
Glee Boxes.
The idea for Glee
Boxes, which containWisconsinmade
meats and
cheeses, started as
a new business venture
for a class project.
However, the
project was expanded
into a full business
by students
Nicholas Gleason
and Michelle
Brummel.
A general business
major, Gleason
always had an
interest in start-up
businesses, and
used the class project
as a business
venture opportunity.
This is the second
venture Gleason
has undertaken this
fall. In early
September, Gleason
partnered with local
farmer, Dan
Malone, to open
Dan’s Meat Market
in downtown
Whitewater.
Together with
Brummel, the two
developed Glee
Boxes, meats and
cheeses packaged in
gift boxes.
