HCFC (HydroChloroFluoroCarbons) HCFC refrigerants are restricted by the European Regulation 2037/2000 dated June 29 th 2000 due to their depletion effect on the ozone layer (Montreal Protocol). New HCFCs will be allowed for use in existing equipment until 2010.
