Welcome Welcome to the inaugural two-year-old trialling sale at Tabcorp Park, Menangle. This represents a unique opportunity for buyers in New South Wales, to see two-year-old pacers trial and have the opportunity to buy them on the same day. For your convenience, we have arranged video replays of all trials to run through on-track televisions during the trials from 8.30am and the auction from 1.30pm; these trials will be shown from two camera angles - inside the track (to check on the gait of horses) and outside the track. All 2YO’s will work from the 800m and at full speed from the 400m. To ensure the authenticity of the sale, representatives of each vendor will be swabbed - either pre-trial or post-trial or both - and such swabs will be analysed. We remind you that seeing is believing, and ask you to use your judgement when deciding on your purchase: it isn't just about speed - the youngsters trialling should be judged on a variety of factors - type, attitude, manners, education and, of course, speed. The vendors have especially prepared their stock for this sale, and are anxious to meet the market, so there might be a bargain or two here. Dr Virginia Brosnan from Garrards Veterinary Services will be on hand for sale-day inspections and advice, and can be contacted on 0488 411 230. Similarly, the well-respected Gow Gates Bloodstock Insurance Manager, Bert Clarke, will be on hand for fall of the hammer insurance at reasonable rates. The sales organisers wish to thank all vendors and preparers, as well as everyone who has helped in the preparation of the day. We especially wish to thank John Dumesny of the New South Wales Harness Racing Club and Sam Nati of Harness Racing NSW, and their respective staffs.
