ABOUT US
The best of school and beyond
The Canterbury Tertiary College (CTC) is a partnership
between secondary schools and our regions’ tertiary
education providers. Together we’re offering you
the best of both worlds with the opportunity to
successfully complete your NCEA studies at secondary
school and take your first steps toward gaining a
tertiary qualification. With a diverse range of study
options, you can learn new skills and explore your
future career direction.
You will focus on relevant skills and industry based
training that leads to employment, apprenticeship
opportunities or further tertiary study. The CTC
partnership also values the social aspects of secondary
school with students still able to enjoy their extra
curricula activities and friendships.
Having access to both school and tertiary support
services also helps make for a smoother transition into
the workplace or adult learning environment.

Expand on your existing talents and gain new skills in
our purpose-built facilities. Working in small groups
you will be tutored by industry experts and experience
all aspects of the tertiary environment including further
career advice and study support.
