The Cadet Training Centre is to serve as a<br />

centre of excellence<br />

for the <strong>cadet</strong> <strong>movement</strong> and thus be a<br />

source of inspiration and information.


Summary CTC Establishment<br />

• Serving regular soldiers: 3 x officers & 1 x warrant officer<br />

• Non regular permanent staff: 3 x warrant officers<br />

• Full time reserve service: 1 x officer & 1 x warrant officer<br />

• ACF Warrant Officer; x 1<br />

• Civil Service: 3 x Retired Officers<br />

CCF Basic Course


Aim of the CCF Basic Course<br />

To train CCF officers in the military style of instructional<br />

techniques and to improve their knowledge of subjects in the<br />

APC (CCF) syllabus<br />

• All students are required to have completed preliminary training<br />

with the CTT team.<br />

• Not a pass or fail course.<br />

• The course assumes no knowledge.<br />

• Subjects include, Basic field craft, intro to orders, leadership,<br />

responsibility guidelines, Red Book, SAA Trg from scratch, live<br />

firing, section attacks and drill.<br />

• This is all akin to a junior officers course.

Aim of the Cadet Force Skill at<br />

NB<br />

Arms Course<br />

TO produce CFAV Skill-at Skill at-Arms Arms (SAA) Instructors<br />

• 8 Places per course for CCF<br />

• CTT have responsibility for delivery of SAA in CCF<br />

• Annetdotal evidence suggests WHT’s WHT s and training is being<br />

delivered in schools by CCF officers who are unqualified.
