Department of IT&C, Government Of Rajasthan 1 ABBREVIATIONS AND DEFINITIONS Terms Description AADHAAR Brand name associated with UID BPL Below Poverty Line Biometric Data Refers to the facial image, iris scan and finger prints collected by the enrolment agency from the enrollees based on the standards prescribed by the UIDAI CIDR “Central Identity Repository” owned and maintained by UIDAI which receives all enrolment data for de-duplication and generation of Unique Identity numbers. CORE Committee of Registrars under chairmanship of Secretary and Commissioner, IT to oversee multi-registrar coordination Demographic Data DoB Date of Birth Refers to the personal information collected or verified by the Enrolment Agency based on the data fields prescribed by the UIDAI DoIT&C Department of IT & Communication (Government of Rajasthan) EID “Enrolment ID” generated by AADHAAR application on completion of enrolment. Enrolling Agency/ Enrolment Agency(EA) The agency appointed by the Registrar for collection of the Demographic and Biometric data in the area assigned by the Registrar. The terms Enrolling Agency and Enrolment Agency used interchangeably and mean the same. Enrolment Refers to the exercise of collection of demographic data after verification, collection of biometrics and allocation of UID number after de-duplication. Enrolment Center(EC) Enrolment Station(ES) FI Financial Inclusion GOI Govt. of India GOR Govt. of Rajasthan Refers to the premises located in the area where the enrolment is being carried out. One Enrolment Center can host multiple Enrolment Stations. Refers to an individual enrolment booth/enclosure inside the Enrolment Center AADHAAR Operational Guidelines for District Registrars Page 3
