Standard Features:
Non Fail Safe - Unlocks when energized.
Solenoid Actuated - May be energized continuously.
(AC - voltage units are adjustable, to operate either quietly,
on continuous duty or audibly, on intermittent duty).
Keeper - 1/2” standard.
Reversible - Non Handed
Horizontal Adjustment - To compensate for misalignment.
Optional Features:
Finishes - Duronic dark bronze and mill aluminum.
Indication Switches - Internal switch(es) to monitor the
positions of the latchbolt and/or locking cam.
Specify switch options by letters:
LBM - A switch to monitor the latchbolt. It indicates
whether or not the latchbolt is extended into the strike.
LCM - A switch to monitor the locking cam. It indicates
that the strike is either locked or unlocked.
LCBM - A switch to monitor both the latchbolt and the
locking cam. It indicates that the latchbolt is extended
into the strike, and that the strike is locked.
LCBMA - This is the same as LCBM, with an additional
switch activated by the latchbolt, for auxiliary purposes.
AC Voltages - 12 or 120 VAC/60 HZ, which may produce
a slight “buzzing” sound.
AC-SO Voltage - 12, 24, 48, or 120 VAC-SO, which are
for silent operation, without the “buzzing” sound. They
use a DC solenoid with an externally attached, full-wave
bridge rectifier.
DC Voltages - 6, 12, 24, 48 or 120 VDC.
Fail Safe Operation - Locks when energized, unlocks
when de-energized for applications requiring automatic
unlocking in case of power failure. Specify “FS”.
alarms, indication lights and interlocks. One or two
switches can be supplied, depending on circuit requirements.
Specify switch options by letters for 710 / 730:
LBM - A switch to monitor the latchbolt. It indicates
whether or not the latchbolt is extended into the strike.
(An external switch tripper is added into the keeper area
for the latchbolt.)
LCM - A switch to monitor the locking cam. It indicates
that the strike is either locked or unlocked.
LBMLCM - Two switches wired in series, one to monitor
the latchbolt and the other to monitor the locking cam.
Together they indicate the latchbolt is extended into the
strike, and the strike is locked. (An external switch tripper
is added into the keeper area for the latchbolt.)
AC Voltages - 6,12, 24, 49 or 120 VAC, which are for
4 1/2FM
An investment-cast, ball-bearing hinge, extra heavy weight
for heavily used doors. This hinge has non-removable pins
and hospital tips, giving it a streamlined design.
Features:
Investment Cast - .188" thick leaves with hospital tips,
stainless steel.
Non-Removable, Concealed Pins - Prevents tampering
and removal. These 9/16" diameter, stainless steel hinge
pins form a cage for the ball bearings and races, and are
concealed within the barrel.
Stainless Steel Ball Bearings - 3/8" diameter, riding on
hardened-steel races.
Permanently Lubricated - Eliminates field maintenance.
Reversible Non-Handed - Screw hole locations conform
to ANSI standards (template).
Finish - US32D.
Torx Tamper Resistant Screws - Supplied with hinge.
(Torx screw drivers are sold separately.)
4 1/2 ICS
An investment-cast, ball-bearing hinge with a security stud
on the back of each leaf. These studs are cast as an integral
part of the leaves, and extend into the door and frame
when installed. This anchors the hinge firmly in place. It will
withstand over 100 direct blows with an impact of 200 ft. lbs.
each, which exceeds the testing requirements by NAAMM
and ASTM. This hinge also has non-removable pins and
hospital tips, giving it a streamlined design. It is an extraheavy
weight hinge for heavily used doors.
Features:
Investment Cast Stainless Steel - Leaves with studs.
.188" thick each with a 15/32" diameter x 1/2" Iong stud
and hospital tips.
Passes NAAMM Impact - Test (HMDF185).
Non-Removable, Concealed Pins - Prevents tampering
and removal. These 9/16" diameter, stainless steel hinge
pins form a cage for the ball bearings and races, and are
concealed within the barrel.
Stainless Steel Ball Bearings - 3/8" diameter, riding on
hardened-steel races.
Permanently Lubricated - Eliminates field maintenance.
Non-Handed Reversible - Screw hole locations conform
to ANSI standards (template).
Finish - US32D.
Torx Tamper Resistant Screws - Supplied with hinge.
HINGES
4-1/2 Series
4 1/2 EH
A non-loadbearing hinge, similar in appearance to the 4-1/2
FM Hinge, with wires passing through its barrel. These wires
permit the passage of a constant flow of current from door
frame to the inside of door when door is equipped with an
electric lock. The concealed wire chase and hospital tips
give this hinge a streamlined design. Although a non-loadbearing
hinge, it is used in place of the center hinge on a
door.
Features:
Investment Cast Leaves with Wire Chase - .188" thick
leaves, each with a wire chase and hospital tips, either
bronze alloy or stainless steel.
Five Wires Provided - 18-gauge wire leads on door leaf.
Wires are 12' O" long; jamb leaf has 1' O" long leads.
Wires are rated to carry 24 volts, or less.
Tamper Resistant - Wires are concealed within the
hinge. Stainless Steel, Tubular Pin 9/16" O. D., concealed
within the barrel, to support hinge leaves.
Listed by Underwriters' Laboratories, lnc. - Wire Pass
Hinge. (UL Standard No. UL634, Connectors and
Switches.)
Non-Handed Reversible - Screw hole locations conform
to ANSI standards (template).
Finish - US32D.
Torx Tamper Resistant Screws - Supplied with hinge.
(Torx screw drivers are sold separately.)
