Artist’s Image of the Chesapeake Bay<br />
Ages 6 - 9<br />

Learn to draw sea life of the<br />
Chesapeake Bay, create an<br />
“under-the-sea” painting with<br />
watercolors, sculpt a turtle in<br />
air-dry clay, and create a fish<br />
with wire and pipe cleaners.<br />
Students will also learn about<br />
Canada geese migration and<br />
then create a mixed media<br />
seascape of waterfowl on the<br />
bay. All supplies included.<br />
Each student will also receive<br />
a signed copy of the artist’s<br />
book, You Can Draw Me<br />
Chesapeake Bay Sea Life and<br />
More. A short lunch break<br />
will take place midway through each class. Bring your lunch from<br />
home.<br />

Learn to draw sea life of the Chesapeake Bay, create an “underthe-sea”<br />
painting with watercolors, and sculpt a relief tile in clay.<br />
Students will also learn about waterfowl and then paint a trompe<br />
l’oeil marsh scene. All supplies included. Each student will<br />
also receive a signed copy of the artist’s book, You Can Draw Me<br />
Chesapeake Bay Sea Life and More. A short lunch break will take<br />
place midway through each class. Bring your lunch from home.<br />
Home School Art Education Classes<br />
These classes are designed for the area's home school<br />
population, ages 6 and up. The classes will focus on fine art<br />
techniques and materials. A variety of media will be explored.<br />
Classes will visit the Museum's exhibitions when appropriate.<br />
All classes meet on Fridays from 1:00 to 2:30pm. (Please note<br />
slight time change from last session.) Classes begin on Friday,<br />
January 11 and continue until April 5. There is no class on<br />
March 29. Cost is $110 per student for the 12-week session<br />
for members and $125 per student for Non-members.<br />

Got the January blues? Art Plus announces a full<br />
day of art camp! There is no school on Tuesday,<br />
January 22nd, so why not spend the day with<br />
Director of ArtReach and Community Programs,<br />
Constance Del Nero, who will lead a day of funfilled<br />
art projects and other activities? You’ll tour the<br />
exhibition, The Art of Seating, featuring dozens of<br />
chairs designed over the past 200 years, and make<br />
miniature chairs out of air-dry clay and cardstock<br />
that you can take home the same day. Bring your<br />
own lunch; the Museum will provide snacks. Registration<br />
is required. Class size is limited.<br />
