Artist’s Image of the Chesapeake Bay
Ages 6 - 9

Learn to draw sea life of the
Chesapeake Bay, create an
“under-the-sea” painting with
watercolors, sculpt a turtle in
air-dry clay, and create a fish
with wire and pipe cleaners.
Students will also learn about
Canada geese migration and
then create a mixed media
seascape of waterfowl on the
bay. All supplies included.
Each student will also receive
a signed copy of the artist’s
book, You Can Draw Me
Chesapeake Bay Sea Life and
More. A short lunch break
will take place midway through each class. Bring your lunch from
home.

Ages 10 - 12
Saturdays, January 26th and February 2nd
10am-2pm ECHI8302
Cost: $85 Members $95 Non-members
Learn to draw sea life of the Chesapeake Bay, create an “underthe-sea”
painting with watercolors, and sculpt a relief tile in clay.
Students will also learn about waterfowl and then paint a trompe
l’oeil marsh scene. All supplies included. Each student will
also receive a signed copy of the artist’s book, You Can Draw Me
Chesapeake Bay Sea Life and More. A short lunch break will take
place midway through each class. Bring your lunch from home.
Home School Art Education Classes
These classes are designed for the area's home school
population, ages 6 and up. The classes will focus on fine art
techniques and materials. A variety of media will be explored.
Classes will visit the Museum's exhibitions when appropriate.
All classes meet on Fridays from 1:00 to 2:30pm. (Please note
slight time change from last session.) Classes begin on Friday,
January 11 and continue until April 5. There is no class on
March 29. Cost is $110 per student for the 12-week session
for members and $125 per student for Non-members.

Unwind after school with great art projects, such as mosaics,
beaded jewelry, friendship bracelets, journals made out of homemade
paper and more! All materials supplied.

Got the January blues? Art Plus announces a full
day of art camp! There is no school on Tuesday,
January 22nd, so why not spend the day with
Director of ArtReach and Community Programs,
Constance Del Nero, who will lead a day of funfilled
art projects and other activities? You’ll tour the
exhibition, The Art of Seating, featuring dozens of
chairs designed over the past 200 years, and make
miniature chairs out of air-dry clay and cardstock
that you can take home the same day. Bring your
own lunch; the Museum will provide snacks. Registration
is required. Class size is limited.
