Refurbished GE camera
The Bartec Gamma Camera System is based on a new digital
system or a factory refurbished GE gamma camera detector and
electronics. The detector is installed on a yoke and mounted
onto a variety of transport systems including overhead Jib crane
gantries , overhead gantry hoists and custom hydraulic Crane
arms and stacker systems. The interconnecting detector cables
are routed in such a way as to ensure that there are no trailing
cables on the ground.
The detector is completely sealed to ensure that no body fluids
or contamination can enter. All units are designed for silent
operation to ensure minimise distress for the horse.
Syringe Shields
Pro-Tec III Syringe Shield Pro-Tec II Syringe Shield
The barrel of the shield is constructed of 2 mm thick
tungsten that will reduce radiation exposure from Tc-
99m by 94%. A 4.2 density lead glass window provides
protection and visibility. The interior of the barrel behind
the glass has a white coating that improves the
view of the syringe and contents. A bevel around the
lead glass helps protect it from scratching or breaking.
The Safe-T-Lock design grips and secures the syringe
upon insertion and will release the syringe at the press
of a button. Disposing used syringes is easy; invert the
syringe shield over a Sharps container, press the release
button and the syringe freely disengages.
protection and visibility. The interior of the barrel behind
the glass has a white coating that improves the
view of the syringe and contents. A clip secures the
lead glass to the tungsten barrel and makes it easy to
Dose Calibrator
The RS-232 port enables the Atomlab 400 Dose Calibrator to
communicate with most commercially available nuclear medicine
management systems.
The Atomlab 400 provides fast, accurate radionuclide activity
measurements with performance that easily complies with the most
stringent regulatory requirements. The unit is simple to operate.
There is a routine list of ten pre-programmed isotopes plus another
seven that can be user defined. Any four isotopes will be displayed
at a time. The Atomlab 400 display can be mounted on a wall or
placed on a desktop. In addition, there is a library containing 88
isotopes listed alphabetically, including Y-90 and Sr-89. Activity is
displayed on an LCD panel in either Curie or Becquerel units.
Background correction is performed at the touch of a button. Range
selection is automatic. Activity measurements are performed by a
microprocessor-controlled electrometer located within the detector
assembly of the ionisation chamber. The chamber is shielded
with .25" (6.3 mm) lead. It can be located up to eight feet away from
the display unit. Chamber bias is generated within the display unit
by an electronic high voltage supply, eliminating the need for
Radiacwash
Radiacwash has been in use since 1951 it is the most
popular general-purpose decontamination solution
specifically created for the fast and safe removal of
liquid radioactive contaminants. Firstly, it sequesters
metallic ions, which contaminate surfaces. Secondly, it
lifts up and firmly suspends contaminating particles.
Allowing contamination to be absorbed and then
rinsed away with water.
