e) Perform follow up and correction of fire appliances deficiencies in the
premises;
f) Perform regular maintenance of fire alarm system;
g) Perform quarterly testing of smoke and heat detectors;
h) Perform testing of fire alarm call points;
i) Provide maintenance of automatic fire alarm extinguishing system;
j) Provide maintenance of fire extinguishing system;
k) Provide regular inspection and servicing of fire lorries;&
l) Provide acceptance test for all new fire related equipments.
2. Administrative controls such as:
a) Provision of round the clock fire watch in the building /
premises;
b) Perform routine fire / safety compliance;
c) Intimate the findings to the HSEQ department for corrective
actions;
d) Prepare, develop and publish fire safety policies and guidelines
for all OGDCL premises;
e) Prepare and implement Fire plan for all premises;
f) Prepare Evacuation Plan;
g) Provide Suggestions to improve Fire Safety Standards;
h) Address all hot works;
i) Maintain Required Fire Safety Standards at all times;
j) Carry out incident investigations with Root Cause Analysis and
Recommendations to avoid recurrence;
k) Maintenance of all records;&
l) Develop and implement comprehensive program to inspect,
verify and maintain the mechanical integrity for all the emergency response material
and equipment such as hydrants, fire water pumping equipments, fire extinguishers,
deluge systems, tenders etc.
3. Responsive Measures.
Engineering controls such as:
a) Provision of water relay system in case of fire;
b) Identify & provide further necessary requirements and design
to extinguish fire;
c) Identify and suggest distinguished alarm sounds for all major
emergency scenarios. This may require additional alarm devices;&
d) Identify and suggest electronic personal accounting system in
case of emergency.
4. Roles, Responsibilities and Authority.
The firm needs to identify specific plans along with:
