Functi<strong>on</strong> maintained in the event of a power failure thanks to several di� erent drive comp<strong>on</strong>ents<br />
To guarantee the safety of emergency escape routes, extra redundant comp<strong>on</strong>ents are integrated into the complete system. This redundancy<br />
guarantees that in the event of a power failure or fault, the sliding door will automatically open safely in the operating modes “Automatic” <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />
“Shop closing”. In the operating mode “Night” the locking system prevents unauthorised opening of the door. There is no emergency escape<br />
functi<strong>on</strong> in this operating mode.<br />

This GEZE soluti<strong>on</strong> allows door systems <strong>on</strong> emergency escape routes that are set in the operating mode „Shop closing“ (<strong>on</strong>e-way) to be locked<br />

routes in both directi<strong>on</strong>s are often required. The type-tested GEZE automatic sliding door can be used as an escape route door in both directi<strong>on</strong>s<br />
by using two m<strong>on</strong>itored movement detectors <strong>on</strong> both sides. FR-DUO sliding doors are used especially in o� ces, airports <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> railways<br />

GEZE sliding doors with break-out functi<strong>on</strong> are used <strong>on</strong> emergency escape routes. The BO functi<strong>on</strong> allows the leaves to be pivoted open in the<br />

The burglar-resistant automatic <strong>line</strong>ar sliding door system GEZE Slimdrive SL WK2 <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> the emergency exit route variati<strong>on</strong> SL-FR WK2 makes<br />
burglars’ lives di� cult. It was specially developed for building entrances with increased security requirements. Both variati<strong>on</strong>s have been tested<br />
according to comp<strong>on</strong>ent resistance class 2 (WK2) in <strong>line</strong> with DIN V ENV 1627 to 1630. This means that they can withst<str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> attempts to be<br />

The door opens automatically after the large-scale butt<strong>on</strong> <strong>on</strong> the outside of the toilet has been pressed, <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> closes automatically after the set<br />
hold-open time has passed.<br />
When the user presses the switchover inside the toilet cubicle, the “occupied” sign outside the toilet is activated <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> the telltale lamp <strong>on</strong> the<br />
change-over switch comes <strong>on</strong>. At the same time, the large-scale butt<strong>on</strong> is deactivated <strong>on</strong> the outside <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> <strong>on</strong> the inside. This means the door<br />
cannot be opened by third parties nor by the user by mistake. When the user leaves the toilet, he presses the switchover again. The “occupied”<br />

The Slimdrive SL c<strong>on</strong>ceals a powerful drive system for automatic sliding doors in a unit <strong>on</strong>ly 7 cm high. It blends elegantly in with post-rail<br />
structures. Large opening widths can be achieved with the Slimdrive SL. The drive disappears in the facade, bestowing transparency <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> an<br />
aesthetic appearance. Bolt false edges <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> cross-bar pro� les are things of the past. The Slimdrive SL makes large passage heights possible.<br />

The GEZE Slimdrive SLT is used <strong>on</strong> 2 or 4-leaf telescopic sliding doors made of 22 mm insulated glass or frameless door leaves with c<strong>on</strong>cealed<br />
� ttings (IGG). The Slimdrive SLT moves internal <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> external doors with leaf weights of up to a 320 kg reliably, inc<strong>on</strong>spicuously <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> invisibly,<br />
thanks to the low overall height of <strong>on</strong>ly 7 cm. The drive makes opening widths of up to 3600 mm possible.<br />

Operating automatic sliding doors<br />
GEZE o� ers programme switches for a wide range of individual requirements. The switches are suitable for universal use – for surface-mounted<br />
or � ush-mounted installati<strong>on</strong>. The following switch types are available:<br />
Display programme switch (DPS)<br />

The following operating modes can be set:<br />
“Permanently open”<br />
The door moves to the OPEN positi<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> remains open. Movement detector or opening butt<strong>on</strong> are deactivated.<br />
“Night”<br />
The movement detectors are switched inactive, the door closes.<br />
Opti<strong>on</strong>: The door leaves are locked electrically to prevent forced opening.<br />
“Shop closing” (<strong>on</strong>e-way)<br />
The door <strong>on</strong>ly opens <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> closes when some<strong>on</strong>e goes out from the inside.<br />
The movement detector outside is switched inactive, the <strong>on</strong>e inside is switched active.<br />
“Automatic”<br />
The door opens as so<strong>on</strong> as it is actuated via the movement detector or keys, <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> closes after a certain individually adjustable time. Safety sensors<br />
protect the leaves’ travel path. If there is some<strong>on</strong>e in the door opening, the door will not close.<br />
“Reduced opening width”<br />
The settings determined in teach mode are activated or deactivated.<br />
“OFF” (<strong>on</strong>ly with TPS <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> MPS)<br />
Drive <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> sensors are switched o� , the door leaves can be moved manually.<br />
Key switch<br />
The programme switch can be disabled using a key switch.<br />
Securing the programme switches<br />
Automatic sliding doors in emergency exit routes must be secured against operati<strong>on</strong> by unauthorised people. The mechanical programme<br />
switch (MPS) is also available in a lockable versi<strong>on</strong>. The display programme switch (DPS) <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> key programme switch (TPS) can be combined<br />
with a key switch. Alternatively, these programme switches can be secured using a code.<br />

Combined detector<br />
Combined detectors are radar movement detectors using an infrared light curtain. Actuati<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> protecti<strong>on</strong> are integrated in the sensor, reducing<br />
installati<strong>on</strong> e� orts. Individual attachment possibilities through wall, ceiling or integrated ceiling recess installati<strong>on</strong> provide lots of design<br />
freedom. The use of a remote c<strong>on</strong>trol guarantees quick <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> easy commissi<strong>on</strong>ing. The sensor is actuated reliably <strong>on</strong> the basis of directi<strong>on</strong> of<br />
movement <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> the fading out of cross-tra� c. Slow movements can be detected thanks to the “slow moti<strong>on</strong> detecti<strong>on</strong>” feature. The protecti<strong>on</strong><br />
area can be c<strong>on</strong>� gured as required. Combined detectors for emergency exit routes o� er maximum safety through integrated self-m<strong>on</strong>itoring.<br />
Radar movement detector<br />
Radar movement detectors register all objects that move within the radar � eld. All movements within the radiati<strong>on</strong> range cause a time-delayed<br />
re� ecti<strong>on</strong> which is forwarded as a door opening signal. The pre-programmed c<strong>on</strong>venience setting of the GEZE radar movement detectors<br />
ensures they can be put into operati<strong>on</strong> quickly. Automatic c<strong>on</strong>� gurati<strong>on</strong> is possible via keys or a remote c<strong>on</strong>trol. Reliable detecti<strong>on</strong> is achieved<br />
with a clearly de� ned radar � eld. Energy can be saved through detecti<strong>on</strong> of people’s directi<strong>on</strong> of movement. Excessive door opening is avoided<br />
since cross-tra� c can be faded out.<br />

GEZE push butt<strong>on</strong>s for the wireless actuati<strong>on</strong> of system doors – reliable, c<strong>on</strong>venient <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> safe at the push of a butt<strong>on</strong>.<br />
N<strong>on</strong>-c<strong>on</strong>tact capacitive push butt<strong>on</strong><br />
The design-oriented <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> sturdy LED sensor butt<strong>on</strong> makes intuitive <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> straightforward operati<strong>on</strong> possible. No great e� orts are required for<br />
actuati<strong>on</strong> – touching the butt<strong>on</strong> slightly is su� cient. Suitable for use both indoors <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> outdoors, the LED sensor butt<strong>on</strong> can be recognised<br />
easily in the dark thanks to the blue LED lighting. In additi<strong>on</strong>, the sensor has raised Braille lettering <strong>on</strong> it. An acoustic <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> visual signal initiates<br />
actuati<strong>on</strong> through the push butt<strong>on</strong>. The push butt<strong>on</strong> is waterproof, impact-resistant <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> v<str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g>alism-proof. This makes it very well suited for<br />
outdoor use or installati<strong>on</strong> in the � oor.<br />
N<strong>on</strong>-c<strong>on</strong>tact infrared - sensor<br />
Open doors in a � ash: With GEZE infrared sensors, internal doors without precise percepti<strong>on</strong> requirement can be actuated cleanly <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> comfortably.<br />
Active infrared sensors ensure hygienic access to toilet facilities, for example. The risks of infecti<strong>on</strong> are also minimised in hotel kitchens,<br />
hospitals <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> doctors’ surgeries. The impulse generator is installed at h<str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> height <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> precisely detects people <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> objects – independently<br />
of their directi<strong>on</strong> of movement – both in the direct vicinity of <strong>on</strong>ly 5 cm as well as 0.6 m away. The di� erent scanning ranges can be optimally<br />
adapted to existing envir<strong>on</strong>mental c<strong>on</strong>diti<strong>on</strong>s <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> the wishes of the user groups. The n<strong>on</strong>-c<strong>on</strong>tact sensor system provides maximum operating<br />
c<strong>on</strong>venience – people <strong>on</strong>ly need to approach them to trigger the automatic opening mechanism. The optimum system structure permits<br />
simple <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> time-saving installati<strong>on</strong> in the � ush-mounted box.<br />
Radio actuati<strong>on</strong><br />
GEZE radio transmitters are used for wireless actuati<strong>on</strong> of doors <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> windows as a multi-channel soluti<strong>on</strong>. For every additi<strong>on</strong>al channel, an<br />
additi<strong>on</strong>al electrical device or functi<strong>on</strong> can be switched at the push of a butt<strong>on</strong>. Thanks to the very small size of the radio modules, radio transmitters<br />
can easily be integrated in the drive or in a � ush-mounted box. They can also be clipped directly into the elbow switched <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> mounted<br />
without wires <strong>on</strong> glass.<br />

GEZE light curtains are used to secure posts, main <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> sec<strong>on</strong>dary closing edges both inside <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> outside. The light curtains have an invisible<br />
<str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> n<strong>on</strong>-c<strong>on</strong>tact protective device. Precise detecti<strong>on</strong> is possible through a clearly de� ned � eld, the size of which can be adjusted. Individual<br />
applicati<strong>on</strong>s allow the use of light curtains as protective sensors or opening impulse generators.<br />
Infrared light barrier<br />
GEZE safety light barriers are available as single-beam <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> double-beam versi<strong>on</strong>s. This guarantees the easy <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> reliable protecti<strong>on</strong> of main<br />
closing edges with tried-<str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g>-trusted technology. The design permits � exible installati<strong>on</strong> in di� erent door pro� les. The integrated electr<strong>on</strong>ics<br />
guarantee fast installati<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> compact space requirements.<br />

Toothed belt locking<br />
This electromagnetic bi-stable locking system ensures more safety, because it stays locked even without electric current. Manual emergency<br />
unlocking is possible at any time. Typical for this type of locking is permanent m<strong>on</strong>itoring by the c<strong>on</strong>trol unit. Up to two c<strong>on</strong>tacts for external<br />
applicati<strong>on</strong>s (e.g. alarm systems) can be integrated as an opti<strong>on</strong>. Thanks to the free choice of positi<strong>on</strong>ing in the drive, the toothed belt unit is<br />
not <strong>on</strong>ly easy to install, it also makes special locking functi<strong>on</strong>s possible, e.g. locked pharmacy opening of the sliding doors.<br />
Rod locking<br />
Rod locking increases safety <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> burglary protecti<strong>on</strong>. The multi-point lock – both upwards <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> in the ground – provides solid resistance<br />
against attempts to be levered open. The locking rod is integrated invisibly in the � ne-framed ISO pro� le system. The system can be unlocked<br />
both electrically or mechanically. Rod locking can be used in the Slimdrive SL <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> Slimdrive SLT drives. Emergency exit routes can also be<br />
protected by rod locking.<br />

The GEZE � oor lock is used to lock door leaves with the � ne-framed ISO pro� le system easily at � oor level. St<str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g>ard pro� le cylinders can be<br />
used for the � oor locks. This means the soluti<strong>on</strong> is suitable for optimum integrati<strong>on</strong> in locking systems. Operati<strong>on</strong> is manual, with the key, either<br />
<strong>on</strong>ly from the inside or from the inside <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> outside.<br />

Bluetooth is an internati<strong>on</strong>ally st<str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g>ardised short-distance radio signal with a range of up to ten metres. The software GEZEc<strong>on</strong>nects makes<br />
wireless c<strong>on</strong>necti<strong>on</strong> via Bluetooth possible between a computer <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> the automatic door systems from GEZE. All door system settings can be<br />
carried out via an intuitive graphic interface, stored, sent by e-mail <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> transferred to a word processing programme as a protocol. Diagnosis<br />
functi<strong>on</strong>s show the most important functi<strong>on</strong> parameters of the door system in real time, so that problems are recognised at a glance <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> can<br />
be eliminated. All the pre-settings can be taken over very easily for further door systems. The c<strong>on</strong>venient documentati<strong>on</strong> of initial operati<strong>on</strong>,<br />
servicing <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> diagnosis protocols as well as all statistical data can be downloaded at any time. Password protecti<strong>on</strong> to freeze operating parameters<br />
<str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> servicing data guarantees there will be no unauthorised modi� cati<strong>on</strong>s made.<br />
Service terminal ST 220<br />
Mobile, h<str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g>y <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> straightforward – that is parameter setting for the automatic GEZE door systems using the service terminal ST 220. Communicati<strong>on</strong><br />
<str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> data exchange between the service terminal <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> the door drive is via an integrated RS485 interface. The large illuminated<br />
interface is easy to operate thanks to the plain text display. The service terminal is equipped with a readout functi<strong>on</strong> for servicing <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> diagnosis<br />
work. Power is supplied via the door system. Password protecti<strong>on</strong> to freeze operating parameters <str<strong>on</strong>g>and</str<strong>on</strong>g> servicing data guarantees there will be<br />
