College Transition<br />
This 12-week course helps students successfully transition<br />
to college study, providing the support and counseling<br />
to help students accomplish this goal with confidence. It<br />
offers students the opportunity to review writing, reading,<br />
and math skills.<br />
Citizenship<br />
These classes will prepare students for the test given to<br />
individuals desiring to become American citizens. Students<br />
must be able to read and converse in English well enough<br />
to pass a listening appraisal test. This listening test is<br />
administered the first night of class. Call for the schedule.<br />
Worksite Education<br />
A collaboration with several businesses in the area will allow<br />
for specific curriculum to be written for each company.<br />
Students will engage in activities that will promote basic<br />
skills and increase productivity in the work place.<br />
Workforce Preparation<br />
This 10-week course will allow participants to explore<br />
avenues toward entry or re-entry into the workforce.<br />
Computer skills, career exploration, basic skills acquisition,<br />
ESL competencies (where applicable) and employability<br />
training are the foundation of this course. Upon completion,<br />
participants will have created a career portfolio.<br />
