Archdiocesan Marriage Day
Celebration
All married couples are invited to join
Most Reverend Lee A. Piché of St. Paul
and Minneapolis on: Sat., June 9 at the
Cathedral of St. Paul at 10 am for Mass, renewal of
vows, and a short reception. Couples married over 50
years will be honored in a special way and are
especially invited to attend. Families and friends of
honored couples are welcome! Sponsored by the
Archdiocesan Office of Marriage, Family and Life. For

Could you use more time to yourself? Would you like
to know more about Adoration of the Blessed
Sacrament? It is a wonderful personal prayer time! If
you would like to learn more, or take a scheduled

2735. We are still in need of people to take a
scheduled prayer hour. The following times are
available; 10 am, 4 pm, or 6 pm every Friday.

faces! We have a great opportunity with the Western

Wenceslaus directory update, coming up this summer.

Area Separated & Divorced Support Group
The topic for Tue. May 15 is “Life Delivers its Blows,
But Christ Remains Steadfast & Present.” Please join
us from 7-8:30 pm in the Pius X room located in the
church basement. Those in attendance understand
what you are experiencing at this time of your life.

Do you have time to pray?
Consider joining the FISH network. You will receive
emails about people who are in need of help. You may
not be able to respond to many of the requests you
receive with a donation of goods, money or services,
but you can always pray for the people in need, and

A FISH Story…
A school social worker referred a single parent family
to FISH. Mom was managing to keep up with house
payments and basic expenses. There was no help
from dad. However, within a week’s time, the clothes
washer and microwave died and a storm damaged the
gutters on the house. They also needed help with
food and gas. The unique thing about this situation is
that help came from many different sources; gas and
food cards, offers to fix the gutters! If you are
interested in learning more about FISH, visit the

YOU have something to give to someone in need.
Bulletin Board Display
Please take a minute to look at the bulletin board
display in the back of church, honoring local military
currently serving and/or deployed. This is a way for
our parishioners to keep these individuals and their
families in your thoughts and prayers. If you are
interested in including your love one, contact Helen

Area Clergy Appreciation Dinner
Join us Wed. May 16 th , at the St. Patrick Parish in
Shieldsville. 6 pm social, 7 pm dinner. Tickets
$15.00. Call Karen VonBank: 758-2863 or Noreen
Giesen: 758-2608 to purchase your tickets. This event
is sponsored by the deanery.
Loaves and Fishes
St. Wenceslaus served about 145 people on May 3 rd at
its third Loaves and Fishes meal at the Shakopee site.
Fr. Dave had this to say about his experience there:
“The need at Loaves and Fishes didn’t seem to have
any boundaries. There was such a cross section of
people. There were elderly men and women who wore
experience on their faces and gratitude in their
hearts. The twenty year olds looked eager for a meal.
There were also children crying in the arms of their
mothers. Some were regulars there and they gently
instructed me on what they wanted, and some
seemed new, perhaps their first time there. There
was such a mix of God’s children that it could have
been any of us there for a meal. The meal made me
count my blessings and know that God cares.” The
