Q1 2012 saw <strong>the</strong> number <strong>of</strong> <strong><strong>in</strong>vestment</strong>s<br />
<strong>in</strong> tech rema<strong>in</strong> at a reasonably steady level<br />
across all regions. This is obviously good to<br />
see, albeit it is disappo<strong>in</strong>t<strong>in</strong>g that <strong>the</strong> total<br />
capital deployed <strong>in</strong> our market is well down.<br />
We are see<strong>in</strong>g a good level <strong>of</strong> activity from VC backed companies<br />
across <strong>the</strong> whole <strong>of</strong> <strong>Europe</strong> with clients <strong>in</strong> France and Germany<br />
becom<strong>in</strong>g particularly active. Whilst <strong>the</strong> UK rema<strong>in</strong>s <strong>the</strong> most<br />
significant country <strong>in</strong> terms <strong>of</strong> tech VC <strong><strong>in</strong>vestment</strong>, Germany<br />
and France are catch<strong>in</strong>g up – fast. It’s an excit<strong>in</strong>g time to be<br />
<strong>in</strong> our bus<strong>in</strong>ess, especially with a focus on <strong>the</strong> entire EMEA region.<br />
