55+ Circuit Training<br />

Join us for this gentle introduction to<br />

circuit training. Circuit training is an<br />

excellent way to improve strength,<br />

mobility and stamina. By using a<br />

combination of cardio and resistance<br />

exercises the whole body receives a<br />

workout!<br />

Pilates on the Ball<br />

A wide variety of exercises will be utilized<br />

giving you more core challenge<br />

by balancing over or under the stability<br />

ball. Exercises can be done standing,<br />

sitting on the ball, lying over the<br />

ball or holding the ball while supine<br />

on the mat.<br />

Posture Lab<br />

Bad posture is a slow slide of<br />

accumulated bad habits. With a<br />

little awareness, understanding and<br />

eff ort; proper / good posture can be<br />

achieved and maintained. Benefi ts of<br />

good or corrected posture include<br />

more effi cient circulation, respiration<br />

and digestion, relieves and prevent<br />

pain and injuries & promotes a more<br />

restful sleep.<br />

Fall Proof Balance &<br />

Mobility Training - Level 2<br />

Taught by a physiotherapist, this class<br />

is designed to improve balance,<br />

strength, walking ability, and<br />

confi dence. Track your progress with<br />

pre and post balance assessments.<br />

The exercises are matched to your<br />

abilities and are done sitting, standing<br />

and walking. Participants must be able<br />

to walk a city block without stopping<br />

and without use of walker or cane A<br />

doctor referral is required.<br />

Yoga for Mobility & Ease<br />

In this series of gentle postures we<br />

will focus on bringing mobility to the<br />

joints. This class will move slowly,<br />

giving time to explore and modify as<br />

we go. The ‘joint releasing series’ can<br />

be used alone as a gentle practice or<br />

as a warm up for other activities.<br />
