The purpose of AIGA is to set the national agenda<br />
for the role of design in its economic, social, political<br />
and cultural contexts. AIGA is the oldest and largest<br />
membership association for professionals engaged in<br />
the discipline, practice and culture of designing.<br />

Promotes professional development in interior<br />
design. Membership is open to majors and minors<br />
in interior design.<br />

Angels for the Environment<br />
Promotes awareness of environmental issues on the<br />
<strong>Meredith</strong> campus and in the Raleigh area.<br />

Artists’ Alliance<br />
The purpose of the Artists’ Alliance is to provide<br />
fellowship through a series of informative lectures,<br />
social events, and civil engagements that enhance<br />
the <strong>Meredith</strong> learning experience.<br />

Promotes interest in science among the <strong>student</strong> body<br />
and provides an outlet for the special scientific<br />

interest in mathematics or computer science.<br />

Serves to stimulate political thought and interest in governmental<br />
affairs and to support and promote the ideals<br />
and principles of the Democratic Party of the United States.<br />

The <strong>College</strong> Republicans Club holds monthly meetings<br />
and planned activities in order to get <strong>student</strong>s involved<br />

National Conference<br />
Conducts programs and activities that build a vital musical<br />
culture as well as an enlightened musical public.<br />

English majors or who have English-related interests.<br />
Named after Miss Elizabeth Avery Colton, a professor<br />
of English at <strong>Meredith</strong> from 1908 to 1920.<br />

Communication Club<br />
The Communication Club provides an opportunity for<br />
the education and fellowship of <strong>Meredith</strong> <strong>College</strong><br />
Communication majors and those interested in the<br />
fields of human and mass communication. The club<br />
seeks to offer opportunities for growth and development<br />
in the Communication field, including panels, speakers,<br />
internships, socials, and networking relationships.<br />

Die Reblaus German Club<br />
Serves to further the interest of all <strong>student</strong>s in German<br />
culture, civilization, and language through the presentation<br />
of educational and social programs.<br />

Disability Support Organization<br />
Promotes fellowship for <strong>student</strong>s with disabilities at<br />
<strong>Meredith</strong> <strong>College</strong> and <strong>student</strong>s who are advocates for<br />
people with disabilities. The organization seeks to<br />
educate the community and be a voice on campus for<br />
<strong>student</strong>s with special needs. Membership is open to<br />
all <strong>student</strong>s, faculty and staff.<br />

Extra Theatre Company<br />
Provides an organized forum through which <strong>Meredith</strong><br />
<strong>student</strong>s may produce theatrical works that are not a<br />
part of the scheduled theatrical season. Membership<br />
is open to all <strong>Meredith</strong> <strong>student</strong>s interested in theatre.<br />

Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance<br />
A <strong>student</strong> run pro-choice, non partisan, feminist campus<br />
organization affiliated with the Feminist Majority<br />
Foundation. The FMLA seeks to increase awareness on<br />
campus about the struggles women face in terms of the<br />
right to choose, pay equity, equal rights, and access to<br />
information and <strong>resources</strong> regarding reproductive<br />
