MAKLUMAT UNTUK PENYUMBANG<br />

<strong>PROSEDUR</strong> <strong>PENGHANTARAN</strong><br />

<strong>Manuskrip</strong> (<strong>dalam</strong> <strong>Bahasa</strong> Inggeris atau bahasa Melayu) mestilah karya yang<br />

asli dan belum pernah diterbitkan atau sedang dinilai bagi mana-mana penerbitan.<br />

Jurnal penerbitan hanya akan menerima penghantaran manuskrip <strong>dalam</strong><br />

format masked (blind) review. Penulis perlu memastikan selain halaman tajuk,<br />

manuskrip tidak mengandungi apa-apa bayangan maklumat terhadap identiti<br />

penulis. <strong>Manuskrip</strong> hendaklah dihantar ke alamat Jurnal Pendidikan, Fakulti<br />

Pendidikan, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, 43600 <strong>UKM</strong> Bangi, Selangor<br />

D.E. MALAYSIA. Penulis yang telah diterima manuskripnya untuk penerbitan<br />

dikehendaki menghantar manuskrip akhir yang telah diedit <strong>dalam</strong> bentuk salinan<br />

keras dan salinan lembut (<strong>dalam</strong> disket 3.5”). Semasa manuskrip <strong>dalam</strong><br />

proses penilaian, pastikan penulis memaklumkan editor mengenai sebarang<br />

pertukaran alamat.<br />

HAK CIPTA<br />

Penulis bertanggungjawab untuk memastikan karyanya tidak melanggar manamana<br />

hakcipta. Editor dan penerbit tidak bertanggungjawab terhadap sebarang<br />

perlanggaran hak oleh penulis. Penulis juga perlu memperoleh izin untuk mengulang<br />

atau mengubah sebarang bahan yang dilindungi oleh hakcipta dengan<br />

melampirkan surat izin bersama-sama versi suntingan terakhir manuskrip yang<br />

telah diterima.<br />

PENILAIAN<br />

<strong>Manuskrip</strong> akan melalui proses double-blind review dan akan dinilai oleh<br />

sekurang-kurangnya dua penilai yang berlainan. Keputusan mengenai penerbitan<br />

manuskrip adalah berasaskan cadangan penilai. Kriteria penilaian adalah berdasarkan<br />

kesesuaian karya untuk Jurnal Pendidikan, nilai sumbangan terhadap<br />

disiplin, kesesuaian karya dari aspek konseptual dan teknikal serta kejelasan<br />

persembahan penulisan. <strong>Manuskrip</strong> ahli-ahli <strong>dalam</strong> sidang editor akan melalui<br />

prosedur penilaian yang sama.<br />

PANDUAN PENYEDIAAN MANUSKRIP<br />

Penulis perlu menyediakan manuskrip seperti yang dinyatakan <strong>dalam</strong> panduan<br />

berikut. <strong>Manuskrip</strong> yang tidak disediakan mengikut panduan ini boleh dikembalikan<br />

setelah dibuat pembaikan untuk disemak semula.


PENAIPAN<br />

<strong>Manuskrip</strong> perlu ditaip langkau dua pada sebelah halaman sahaja. Taipan perlu<br />

jelas dan boleh dibaca. Gunakan jidar sekurang-kurangnya 1 inci (2.54 cm) dari<br />

atas, bawah, kiri dan kanan setiap halaman.<br />

HALAMAN TAJUK DAN ABSTRAK<br />

Setiap salinan manuskrip mesti berlampir dengan halaman tajuk yang berasingan<br />

yang merupakan halaman pertama bagi manuskrip. Halaman tajuk perlu mengandungi<br />

tajuk karya, nama penulis, institusi, alamat, nombor telefon, nombor<br />

fax, dan alamat e-mel (jika ada). Sebarang nota penulis (cth: penghargaan,<br />

disclaimers, persetujuan khas mengenai hak kepengarangan, keadaan khas<br />

mengenai penyelidikan) perlu ditaip pada halaman tajuk juga. Halaman tajuk<br />

ini akan diasingkan sebelum manuskrip dihantar untuk penilaian..<br />

Semua manuskrip mesti mengandungi abstrak yang tidak melebihi 150 perkataan<br />

(satu versi <strong>dalam</strong> <strong>Bahasa</strong> Inggeris dan satu versi <strong>dalam</strong> <strong>Bahasa</strong> Melayu).<br />

Taipkan kedua-dua versi abstrak <strong>dalam</strong> halaman yang sama pada halaman baru<br />

(i.e., halaman selepas halaman tajuk). Taipkan tajuk karya di tengah-tengah atas<br />

halaman abstrak.<br />

TAJUK<br />

Tajuk utama perlu untuk bahagian utama karya. Ketengahkan tajuk dan taip<br />

dengan huruf besar. Taip sub-tajuk santak kiri menggunakan huruf besar. Tajuk<br />

perenggan perlu ditaip dengan huruf kecil (kecuali huruf pertama untuk perkataan<br />

permulaan). Jangan pisahkan halaman untuk memulakan perenggan baru.<br />

ILUSTRASI DAN JADUAL<br />

Ilustrasi dan jadual perlu menyokong teks dan tidak mengulang semula maklumat<br />

<strong>dalam</strong> teks. Gunakan ilustrasi dan jadual sewajarnya kerana maklumat ini lebih<br />

mahal untuk disediakan berbanding teks biasa untuk penerbitan. Semua carta,<br />

graf, lukisan dan lain-lain ilustrasi dirujuk sebagai rajah. Rajah perlu dinomborkan<br />

dan diikuti dengan tajuk mengikut format seperti jadual (penerangan seperti<br />

di bawah). Penulis perlu bersedia untuk menyediakan cetakan akhir sedia kamera<br />

untuk semua rajah apabila manuskrip diterima untuk penerbitan.<br />

Mulakan jadual pada halaman baru dan nomborkan jadual secara berturutan<br />

mengikut urutan yang mana dahulu dirujuk <strong>dalam</strong> teks. Setiap jadual perlu ada<br />

tajuk (<strong>dalam</strong> huruf besar dan kecil), diketengahkan di atas jadual, dan bermula<br />

dengan perkataan JADUAL dan nombornya (gunakan numerik Arab).<br />

Catatan untuk jadual perlu diletakkan di bawah jadual. Catatan umum yang<br />

menjelaskan mengenai jadual secara keseluruhan perlu dimulakan dengan per-


kataan “catatan” diikuti dengan noktah bertindih. Nota spesifik yang merujuk<br />

kepada baris atau lajur tertentu, atau entri individu ditunjukkan dengan aksara<br />

huruf kecil berformat supercript. Nota kebarangkalian menunjukkan aras<br />

signifikan statistik dan boleh ditunjukkan dengan simbol asterik dan daggers<br />

(cth., *p

Untuk rujukan kerja hasil dua atau lebih penulis, gunakan urutan abjad dan<br />

ampersands (&). Asingkan setiap rujukan dengan noktah bertindih. Contoh:<br />

Beberapa orang penyelidik (e.g., Amla 1997; Lilia, Noraishah & Khalijah 2003a,<br />

2003b; Rosseni et al. 2004; Safani Bari & Manisah 2003; Shahrin 1998; Siti<br />

Rahayah 2004) menyokong pernyataan ini.<br />

SENARAI RUJUKAN<br />

Satu senarai rujukan mengikut abjad perlu dimasukkan <strong>dalam</strong> bahagian akhir<br />

manuskrip. Semua rujukan yang dirujuk <strong>dalam</strong> teks perlu muncul <strong>dalam</strong> senarai<br />

rujukan. Penulis-penulis adalah bertanggung-jawab terhadap ketepatan dan<br />

maklumat yang lengkap. Penulis-penulis adalah bertanggungjawab terhadap<br />

kesahihan dan kesempurnaan maklumat <strong>dalam</strong> sesuatu rujukan.<br />

Beberapa rujukan oleh penulis yang sama perlu disusun secara kronologi<br />

(tarikh terawal didahulukan). Rujukan yang berulang oleh penulis yang sama<br />

dengan tahun penerbitan yang sama perlu disusun mengikut abjad berdasarkan<br />

tajuk diikuti dengan tarikh (tidak termasuk ‘A’ atau ‘The’) dan dibezakan dengan<br />

menambah abjad huruf kecil (a,b,c, etc.) selepas tahun. Untuk periodicals,<br />

masukkan nombor isu hanya jika halaman periodical tersebut tidak dinomborkan<br />

secara berturutan sepanjang volume (cth., jika setiap isu bermula dengan<br />

halaman 1).<br />

Mulakan senarai rujukan pada halaman baru dan taipkan perkataan RUJU-<br />

KAN di bahagian atas dan tengah-tengah halaman. Taip setiap entri menggunakan<br />

format santak-tergantung dan ikuti dengan format rujukan seperti contoh<br />

INFORMATION FOR CONTRIBUTORS<br />

SUBMISSION PROCEDURE<br />

Manuscript (in English or <strong>Bahasa</strong> Melayu) must be original and must not have<br />

been previously published or be under concurrent consideration elsewhere. The<br />

journal will accept submissions in masked (blind) review format only. Authors<br />

should ensure that other than the title page, the manuscript itself contains no clues<br />

to their identities. Manuscript should be sent to Jurnal Pendidikan, Faculty of<br />

Education, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, 43600 <strong>UKM</strong> Bangi, Selangor D.E.<br />

MALAYSIA Authors whose manuscript has been accepted for publication will be<br />

asked to send a paper copy and an electronic word-processing file copy (in 3.5”<br />

diskette) of the final, edited version of the manuscript. While a manuscript is<br />

under consideration, be sure to inform the editor of any change of address.<br />

COPYRIGHT<br />

It is the author’s responsibility to ensure that his or her submitted works do not<br />

infringe any existing copyright. Furthermore, the author indemnifies the editors<br />

and publisher against any breach of such a warranty. Authors should obtain letters<br />

of permission to reproduce or adapt copyright material and enclose copies<br />

of these letters with the final version of the accepted manuscript.<br />

REFEREEING<br />

Manuscript are subject to a double-blind review process and are reviewed by at least two<br />

independent reviewers. Decisions regarding the publication of a manuscript are based on<br />

the recommendations of these reviews. Reviewers evaluate manuscript based on their<br />

appropriateness for the Journal, significance of contribution to the discipline, conceptual<br />

adequacy, technical adequacy, and clarity of presentation. Manuscripts of members of<br />

the editorial board are subjected to the same review procedures.<br />

MANUSCRIPT PREPARATION GUIDELINES<br />

Author should prepare their manuscript according to the guidelines provided<br />

in this section. Manuscripts not prepared according to these guidelines may be<br />

returned for revision to any editorial consideration.


TYPING<br />

Manuscript should be typed double-space on only one side for the paper. The<br />

type on paper should be clear and readable. Use wide margins of at least 1 inch<br />

(2.54 cm) at the top, bottom, right and left of every page.<br />

TITLE PAGE AND ABSTRACT<br />

Each copy of a manuscript must include a separate title page, which should be<br />

the first page of the manuscript. The title page should contain the title of the<br />

paper and the author’s name, affiliation, address, phone number, fax number<br />

and e-mail address (if available). Any author notes (e.g., acknowledgements,<br />

disclaimers, special agreement concerning authorship, special circumstances<br />

regarding the study) should be typed on the title page also. The title page will<br />

be removed before the manuscript is sent out for the review.<br />

All manuscripts must include an abstract not exceeding 150 words (one<br />

version in the English language and one version in <strong>Bahasa</strong> Melayu). Type the<br />

two versions of the abstract together on a new page (i.e., the page after the title<br />

page). Also, type the title of the paper centre at the top of this abstract page.<br />

HEADING<br />

Main heading should be used to designate the major sections of a paper. Centre<br />

main headings and type in all uppercase letters. Type secondary headings flush<br />

left using uppercase letters. Paragraph headings should be typed in lowercase<br />

letters (except for the first letter of the initial word). Do not break up a page to<br />

start a new heading.<br />

ILLUSTRATIONS AND TABLES<br />

Illustrations and tables should supplement the text and not duplicate it. Because<br />

they are more expensive to prepare for publications than text, use them<br />

judiciously. All charts, graphs, drawing and other illustrations should be referred<br />

to as figures. Figures should be numbered and given title following the<br />

format for tables (described below). Authors should be prepared to supply final<br />

camera-ready prints for all figures at the time the manuscript is accepted for<br />

publication.<br />

Begin catch table on a separate page and number tables consecutively in<br />

the order in which they are first mentioned in the text. Each table should have a<br />

title (in uppercase and lowercase letters), centered at the top of the table, that is<br />

proceeded by the word TABLE and its number (use Arabic numerals).<br />

Notes to a table should be placed below the table. General notes that explain<br />

the table as a whole should be designated by the word Note followed by a


colon. Specific notes that refer to a particular column, row, or individual entry<br />

are indicated by superscript lowercase letters. Probability notes indicate level<br />

of statistical significance and can be designated by asterisk and daggers (e.g.,<br />

*p


esearchers (e.g., (e.g., Amla 1997; Lilia, Noraishah & Khalijah 2003a, 2003b;<br />

Rosseni et al. 2004; Safani Bari & Manisah 2003; Shahrin 1998; Siti Rahayah<br />

2004) support this argument.<br />

REFERENCES LIST<br />

An alphabetically-ordered reference list should be included at the end of the<br />

manuscript. All references cited in the text must appear in the reference list.<br />

Authors are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all information<br />

in a reference.<br />

Several references by the same author(s) should be ordered chronologically<br />

(earliest date first). Multiple references to works by an identical authors(s) with<br />

the same publication date should be arranged alphabetically by the title that<br />

follows the date (excluding A or The) and differentiated by adding lowercase<br />

letters (a, b, c, etc.) immediately after the year. For periodicals, include an issue<br />

number only if the pages of the periodical are not numbered consecutively<br />

throughout the volume (i.e., if each issue begins with page 1).<br />

Begin the reference list on a new page and type the word REFERENCES<br />

centered a the top of the page. Type each entry using a hanging-indent format<br />

and follow the format and references style of the example below.<br />
