Wat-Cha Farms, Mt. Forest, ON. 

Our consignors keep digging deeper every year, so quality 

should be very high. Full Fleckvieh, Fullbloods, Reds & Blacks 

make this a complete breed sale. There will be a very strong 

set of bred heifers, some select cows with calves at side, bull 

calves and some fancy heifer calves coming from breeders all 

across Ontario. Make this an event to purchase your females

10 straws of TNT from the breeder group, who purchased TNT from last year’s Future’s One 

Sale for $40,000. Glorious was one of the heifers we picked for the pen of three at the Western 

Ontario 4H Invitational and of the three she was the youngest. There was a difference of three 

months in age between the three and Glorious, exceptional growth will compete with the best.

A cherry red, blazed faced sweetheart of a calf. Here is a calf that will get better and better as 

she ages.... look here YCS members for next year!! Witch Craft’s perfect uddered dam was ‘01 

Grand Champion Heifer Calf at the Royal under judge Bruce Holmquist and was at the top of her 

game all as a yearling in the ring too. The only reason we are parting with these two heifer calves 

is that our walking herdsire and these heifers share CNS Dream On as a sire.

Ursula is polled, solid black, long sided and feminine, with lots of eye appeal. She was shown as a 

calf and has lots of maternal qualities and is easy fleshing. She goes back to your Babe Ruth cow 

who is sired by HTP Ivy League, and what a cow she is. She catches the eye of most visitors at 

the farm. Ursula’s sire, Yardley Lad F494 goes back to Black Max, a bull from Plank Simmental 

Farm, Michigan U.S. We have some Yardley Lad daughters in our herd and find them to be great 

mothers who are easy fleshing and easy calving.

This black cow is out of Marywood Combo 5L the 2002 Royal Winter Fair Grand Champion Female 

and Nichols Blk Destiny. Nicky herself was shown by our girls as a 4-H project in 2003 & 2004. 

Over the years we built this Combo cow family to the point that we can share these genetics the 

industry. We are keeping a brother, 105T, to use as a herd sire and we plan on showing him 

and his younger brother this fall. Nicky sells with a bonus of being bred to what we believe was 

one of the very best Black Simmentals available this spring. Maplerose Superman has it all; style, 

depth, width, temperament and a performance report card second to none. End of test weight 

1600, WPDA 3.8, Density 296 on a 6.8 frame is amazing, 16.1 ribeye, 4.07 marbling & balanced 

back fat of 5 mm, lean meat yield of 66.6%, AA marbling and SC of 42 cm.

At the 2006 Autumn Classic we purchased this female’s mother from Marywood because of the 

close relationship to the Combo 5L female. 3U is a deep red, moderate framed female, by 3C 

Redman M660 that has mama cow written all over her. She is 92R’s first calf and Grant had his 

eyes on her from birth as his 4-H calf in 2008. He was so happy with his success that he is showing 

her again in 2009. We are retaining show rights until after the Royal Winter Fair as Grant says the 

two of them are going back to the Junior Beef Heifer show again this year. 

Our bred heifers are all bred to the CSR Mr Asphalt 162S bull that Carl Wright purchased as a 

calf for Marywood and Waydamar at the Church Simmentals dispersal in Calgary in 2006. We 

were impressed with the job the Leachman Black Asphalt bull did for Arnold Brothers and Church 

Ranch. The calves we have come sight unseen and aggressive to start nursing.

We are offering a female in the sale from each of the 3 red sires we used. This Marywood Manhatten 

44P daughter is out of a cow by Riverlane Marco & Springcreek Tanya that produces a good 

one every year. We think the Manhattan bull has a lot to offer in the way of performance, carcass 

traits and style. This Manhattan & Marco combination produced our top performing bull this year 

that ended test with a 16.5 ribeye and AA marbling. 


TERMS - The terms of the sale are cash or cheque payable at par at sale location unless satisfactory 

credit arrangements have been made previous to the sale. The right of property shall not pass 

until after settlement is made. Transcon Livestock Corp. reserves the right to require a certified 

cheque as settlement before releasing any sale cattle. Should any purchaser fail to settle for his 

purchase Transcon Livestock Corp. reserves full power to resell the animal to the best advantage 

either publicly or privately, without further notice. Any loss arising from such resale together with 

keep and all other expenses shall be payable by the defaulter. All settlements must be made with 

the clerks of the sale before any cattle will be released. 

BID - Every animal consigned to the sale must be sold by auction. No private sales will be allowed 

except as otherwise provided for in the terms and conditions. No by-bidding will be permitted. 

Each animal will be sold to the highest bidder. 

DISPUTES - In cases of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved. If no 

further bid is made the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. 

The auctioneer’s decision in such matters will be final. 

PURCHASER’S RISK - Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Animals 

will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonable length of time.

This HRC Firepower 42N female had a full sister in last year’s sale that was Ben’s pick as our 

best of the offering. This is a carbon copy and out of the fertile Crystal cow family. The original 

Harkaway Crystal 7W had her last calf at 18 years of age and grandmother Pol Crystal 97G at 12 

looks like a 5 year old. Little needs to be said for what Firepower has done in the show ring with 

limited exposure: 53T was 2nd in Class & Reserve Bull Calf Champion, 8T won the other class 

and they went on to be the Best Pair of Bulls at the 2007 North American Beef Congress. Where 

Firepower shines is the performance & ultrasound successes of his progeny. That year our highest 

performing and high selling bull at the PIC sale that year was another Firepower son 74T. 


SHIPPING - Assistance will be given in making shipment after the sale but no risk is assumed 

by the Sales Management or Seller. Expenses incurred are the responsibility of the purchaser. 

Purchasers are requested to furnish shipping instructions when making settlement. 

BREEDERS GUARANTEE - As per applicable Canadian Breed Association Breeding Guarantee 

guidelines. Copies are available at the sale settlement desk to be picked up by the buyer at any

between the buyer and the seller and be equally binding to both. Resale of animals following 

purchase in this sale shall constitute a separate transaction and the rights and obligations of the
