Lyn Stein
Lyn Stein received her PhD from Kent State University in 1998.
She’s been faculty at Brown University for the past several years
and does research in substance abuse. She has several grants
funded through NIH and continues to publish with Jack Graham.
Her research interests include assessment and treatment of
persons involved in the legal system, with most of her current
work focusing on adolescents. She also is Director of Research
at the Rhode Island Training School and is founder and Director
of the Juvenile Forensic Psychology Post-Doctoral Training
Program at Brown University. She has a particular interest in
translating research findings to applied service settings.
Memories:
• Spending time with Chris (aka “Meister”)
• Creating a comic strip of select faculty and students with Chandra (all in good fun!)
• Parties at Paula and Brad’s place in Ravenna.
• Wearing Denise’s girly clothes, and using her hair-styling equipment and make-up at
Halloween.
• MMPI conferences with Jack and Yossi.
• Jonathan and Rick getting a little crazy at the MMPI conferences.
• Bobby, Alex, and Earl.
• Playing soccer with faculty and other folks associated with the department in a
community league.
• Seeing Jack and Mary Ann when visiting in OH.
• Many more good many memories with many more good folks – the list is too long to
create in full.
