High performance
windows & doors from
Green Building Store
Leading edge for
low energy buildings
Green Building Store is at the
forefront of high performance
window and door design, offering
some of the most thermally
efficient products available in the
UK. We have led the market
continually advancing the
boundaries of sustainable window
technology and are at the forefront
of bringing Passivhaus low
energy products into the UK.
Specification made simple
Our window and door ranges are
designed to help specifiers
meet sustainability requirements
such as BREEAM, Code for
Sustainable Homes, Passivhaus
and AECB Energy standards.
Technical support
We have 15+ years of technical
experience of supplying advanced
high performance windows and
doors in the UK. Our specialist
knowledge means that we are able
to advise on the best environmental
specification for your project.
From cost-effective to
cutting edge
Our window and door ranges
embrace a range of budgets,
specifications and environmental
criteria, but every one of them
delivers high thermal performance
combined with durability and
good looks.
Fabric first
Green Building Store’s approach
to low carbon building is to focus
on retaining heat within the building
fabric. Minimising energy use is a
more cost-effective and effective
way to reduce CO2 emissions in
buildings than costly and often
ineffective, bolt-on measures.
Ecocontract doors also offer a
Code for Sustainable Homes and
BREEAM requirements.
We have found the Ecocontract doors
insulation-wise and the house feels a lot
warmer as a result.
Keep your Passivhaus projects
within budget with Green Building
Store’s Ecopassiv range.
Ecopassiv offers a high quality and
cost-effective Passivhauscompatible
solution, which can also
help projects meet CSH and other
sustainable building requirements.
We specified Ecopassiv doors and
windows because they represented very
good value for money for a Passivhaus
compatible specification at less than half
the price of certified products. Ecopassiv
appeared particularly suitable for an
advanced refurb and they have allowed
us to comfortably exceed the new
EnerPHit target for retrofits. We would
not hesitate to specify Ecopassiv again.
Ecopassiv in the UK’s first cavity wall Passivhaus
Ecopassiv windows & doors were specified for our flagship Denby Dale
Passivhaus project, as a cost-effective high performance option.
Ecopassiv’s low U values and insulated frame made a big contribution to the
thermal performance of the project in Passivhaus Planning Package (PHPP).
The windows were positioned carefully within plywood boxes within the cavity
wall insulation to reduce thermal bridging to a minimum.
