febi bilstein’s joint play tester receives international
award:
Journalists and repair shops in France and Poland vote for
professional tool for chassis diagnosis
On 11 October 2011, the febi bilstein joint play tester won the
prestigious “Innovation Award” at this year's Equip Auto trade fair in
Paris.
A jury of 80 French and international journalists chose the most
innovative products and services from the categories “OEM and
Green Technology”, “Spare Parts and Aftermarket”, “Services” and
“Garage Equipment”; a total of 26 products and services were
submitted for assessment.

PRESS RELEASE
febi bilstein took part in the “Garage Equipment” category with its
joint play tester, won through against seven other finalists and was
awarded the gold medal. The competition in this category was
particularly fierce as other leading companies such as Bosch or
Delphi had also entered products from the garage equipment sector.
Managing director of Febi France, Gildas du Cleuziou, who
accepted the prize during the awards ceremony said:
"We are very proud of this award and extremely pleased that the
trade press appreciates the development of this tool. It is our stated
aim to offer repair shops innovative, professional and above all
practice-oriented solutions that help them in their daily work".

PRESS RELEASE
The joint play tester won the “Innovation Trophy” at the Inotech
Trade Show, an in-house trade exhibition organised by the Flauraud
company.
Flauraud is a French wholesaler for car and commercial vehicle
parts and a member of Temot International, a transnational
association of leading companies in the car parts industry.
This year, Flauraud had showcased technological innovations from
the car and commercial vehicle sectors and had invited over 5,000
visitors at the fair to vote on which product they considered to be the
most trendsetting.
The visitors were most impressed by the joint play tester which won
as “Inotech’s Best Innovative Product for 2011”.
The joint play tester was also extremely popular with repair shops in
Poland.
In the “Motoinnovations 2011” competition, which was run in July by
MotoFocus, the most important platform for independent repair

shops in Poland, readers of the MotoFocus.pl and TruckFocus.pl
portals and guests at the 11th Inter Cars trade fair had the chance
to select the most innovative product from the “Garage Equipment”
sector. The final of the competition, announcement of the winners
and presentation of the prizes took place during the Inter Cars trade
fair in Warsaw.
febi bilstein with 976 votes was a clear winner in the “Garage
Equipment” category pushing Bosch and Texa into second and third
place. A total of 6,500 repair shops voted.
The patented febi joint play tester is ideal for the quick and reliable
diagnosis of front and rear axle component problems. It can even be
used to detect the very early onset of wear.
The tool’s advantages in detail:
- The unit can be used anywhere, the only requirement is a
level surface.
- The chassis (front and rear axles) can be tested with the
vehicle under load.
