Middle School All-Region Orchestra Participants
Plano ISD
Fine Arts Department
Auditions for the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Region 25 Middle School All-Region
Orchestra were held October 23, 2009. Approximately 550 students auditioned for 168 spots. The
students played a series of prepared scales and musical excerpts before a panel of judges. A total of
143 Plano ISD string musicians were selected to play in one of three all-region orchestras. These
ensembles will rehearse with guest conductors on November 13 and 14 at Plano Senior High School
and will present a concert for family and friends at 4:00 pm on November 14 to conclude their all-region
experience. The concert is open and free to the public. Plano students participating are:
Bach 6 th & 7 th grade Orchestra:
Armstrong – Amber Capshaw.
