We are almost half way to our goal for attendance. Never before have we had so much excitement and enthusiasm. Together let’s continue spreading the word about ONCE UPON A TIME….., encourage Southpointe parents to attend with their family and friends. Tickets are available after school at the Front Lobby or by calling Kal Rai at 604-710-0499. Tickets will be available for pick up from the Front Desk at school, once payment has been received. If you are unable to make it in to the school, you can always purchase tickets online (www.southpointegala.com). Please do hurry and get your tickets this week, as we are certain you don’t want to be disappointed when we are SOLD OUT! SPONSOR A TABLE We have a great sponsorship committee working hard in the community of Tsawwassen with the local businesses. The sponsorship form shows the levels of sponsorship. If you know of a friend(s) that has a business and would appreciate a great deal of advertisement, as it may be beneficial to them, please ask! If you know your local businesses in your community approach them regarding the possibility of sponsorship. Encourage your friends and families to sponsor a table. Now, keep up to date with donated auction items as we continue to post them on the Southpointe Gala Website. CLASS CERAMICS PHOTOS will be available prior to the Gala on the website and in our future Midpointe publication. You can begin your strategies for bidding in advance. HELPERS NEEDED Mr. Baldwin Alicia Shu-Cheng Wu We need helpers available during the daytime to assist Mrs. Sandy Kwok-Swan in the art room with the class ceramics. These items will be part of the silent auction at the Gala. We must have these completed by April 13!! Also, NEW this year is the online purchasing option for your convenience. If you have any questions about the website, please call Cindy Chong at (604) 616-4846 or email cindy@clickdesigns.ca AUCTION ITEMS We need lots of support from our parents in donating auction items. If we don’t have auction items, how can we raise funds for our castle? We need the following items to be donated for the Live/Silent Auction: • Air Miles Travel Points • Condo/Apartment in Mexico, Hawaii, Whistler etc. • Golfing Package • Rare Wine Collection • handbags, luggage, shoe store gift certificate Please drop off items at the school as soon as possible with the donation form to the Front Desk. Once Upon A Time Theme Day - Thursday, April 12th: Once Upon A Time Theme Day will take place next week on Thursday, April 12th. All students are encouraged to participate. Bring in $2.00 so you can “dress up as a fairy tale character OR you can simply choose to wear the colours of the rainbow” on this day. As any fairy tale, we can dare to dream, so let’s all make a wish! Each student who participates will have his or her name entered in a draw. One lucky student will win a free Gala ticket for their parent or a friend to attend. We hope to see a kaleidoscope of colour and wonder as our fairy tale characters come to life. The King and Queen will also be present to “royally” thank all students for participating. The money received will go towards a unique prize for our Heads and Tails Game on the evening of the Gala. MESSAGE FROM GALA COMMITTEE Organizing a gala for a fundraiser is a HUGE undertaking. We cannot do it alone. With all families of Southpointe working together, we can accomplish a successful gala. Together we can exceed our expectations this year. Join us at the Gala, encourage other class parents, buy your tickets early, and donate auction items, cash or your time so that together we can exceed our goal to give our children the best opportunities in relation to their education.
