Graduates of Industrial Design

Industrial Design is a unique discipline where the designers act as the
medium between the digital and actual world. They dream up new and
exciting ways of solving everyday problems, they can make a mundane
chore exciting and they furnish the world with ever changing aesthetics.
Within this booklet, you will find the fruits of our graduates labour. The
outcomes are as varied as the students; with products from a humble
light to re-imagined medical products. The professionalism, work ethic
and attention to detail demonstrated within is a testament to the hard
work that students and staff have contributed over the course of
their degrees.

The Bachelor of Industrial Design degree prepares the graduates
for industry; the skills learned within include strong sketching skills,
3D Computer Aided Design (CAD), rapid manufacture utilising
advanced printing and fabrication methods, 3D visualisation and
design thinking skills. The following pages are a demonstration of
our students work.

The Bachelor of Industrial Design (Honours) degree builds upon
the graduates skills significantly through detailed research. Over
fourteen weeks, the students research and write a thesis, which
investigates a research gap; the student can then produce an
applied design outcome with this embedded knowledge. The
following pages contain the work of these graduates.
