The tragedy of Africa is the introduction of crude and unhindered liberalization as a
strategy of economic and social development. This trend must be reversed in the
interests of our children and future generations.
We conclude by emphasizing the observation that It is inconceivable that the
welfare of children can be advanced in an environment of increasing mass poverty,
conflicts and wars. It is in this regard that efforts must be done to ensure sustainable
development on the African continent.
