STEWART WARNER PERFORMANCE PRODUCTS<br />

are produced in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where<br />

pride in workmanship and attention to detail are<br />

fundamental values. Our modern facility includes<br />

automated gauge assembly lines, a state-of-the-art<br />

SMT printed circuit board assembly operation, test<br />

facilities, a metrology lab with coordinate measuring<br />

machines (CMMs), manufacturing operations<br />

(stamping, injection molding, silk screening and<br />

printing), technical support teams, a dedicated<br />

Technical Center (located adjacent to the main<br />

plant), and a training center. Located just 70 miles<br />

east of Philadelphia and 80 miles north of Baltimore,<br />

the operation is easily accessible. Our plant is ISO<br />

9001 and QS-9000 (an automotive industry quality<br />

certification).<br />

WARRANTY POLICY<br />

STEWART WARNER PERFORMANCE PRODUCTS are warranted against defects in workmanship and materials for a period of two (2)<br />

years from the date of purchase. Proof-of-purchase is required; otherwise, the warranty period shall default to two (2) years from<br />

date-of-manufacture (as indicated by the date code on the product). All products must be installed and operated according to the<br />

purpose for which they were intended, designed and specified. This warranty excludes items that are incorrectly installed, misused<br />

or abused by the customer as would be determined by examination upon return of the product. If a suspect product is returned to<br />

Maxima for inspection and disposition, upon which it is determined that the product is in fact defective, the product shall be replaced<br />

free-of-charge or a credit will be issued (whichever is preferred). We will not assume responsibility for labor costs associated with the<br />

removal of suspect product or the cost of equipment downtime, or any other costs associated with concerns that are not specifically<br />

related to workmanship or materials.<br />

Hobbs brand products sold under the <strong>Stewart</strong> <strong>Warner</strong> <strong>Performance</strong> program shall be warranted for a period of one (1) year in<br />

accordance with Hobbs’ policies and the Terms and Conditions stated above.<br />

In order to qualify for warranty coverage and disposition, customers must use the Returned Materials Authorization (RMA) process<br />

(as explained below). Products that are returned and determined to be OK shall not qualify for warranty coverage.<br />

RETURNED MATERIALS AUTHORIZATION POLICY<br />

Distributors who wish to return defective products for replacement or credit MUST use our RETURNED MATERIALS AUTHORIZA-<br />

TION (RMA) procedure. An RMA number and instructions may be obtained from our Customer <strong>Service</strong> Team. Freight must be<br />

prepaid. The RMA number must be clearly marked on the shipping carton to be returned, and it must be noted on enclosed documents.<br />

A brief explanation identifying the failure mode or discrepancy must also be included. If we determine that the product is in<br />

fact defective and/or there was a discrepancy in shipping, a replacement or credit will be issued. If the product and/or shipment is<br />

determined to be OK, we will obtain disposition from the distributor as to whether to return the product or scrap it, in which case no<br />

credit shall be issued. Customer-damaged products are excluded from warranty consideration.<br />

For overseas returns, we may allow field scrap if it is determined that this is more economical approach. In most cases, however,<br />

products must be returned to allow for product analysis and subsequent corrective and preventive measures to be implemented.<br />

Returns from distributors whose customers return products for non-quality related reasons cannot be accepted. Send returns to:<br />

follow prompts for Customer <strong>Service</strong>.<br />
