communicate their subject matter with sufficient clarity and<br />

inspiration for the student to proclaim that same instruction<br />

to others. The hope is to take the most problematic<br />

students, those who present the greatest challenges, and<br />

impart to them a sense of hope and belief in themselves and<br />

their God. With this confidence the student will do more<br />

than they ever thought possible. Part of our craft is to<br />

encourage the learner to learn, motivating the student to<br />

study and learn through vision is a major key to the<br />

teaching and learning process.<br />

It is helpful in a teaching ministry to write down the<br />

vision God gives for a student who is being taught. This<br />

personal touch takes time, but it is well worth the effort, as<br />

through the eyes of faith students will outstretch and<br />

exceed the expectations of both student and teacher. The<br />

vision must be positive, looking for the good and extracting<br />

from the students their very best through the teaching<br />

process. With positive effort, and by the grace of God, the<br />

student will grow in knowledge, understanding, and<br />

wisdom. If we are professional in our approach, diligent in<br />

our application of proven teaching methodology, and if our<br />

character and hearts are right before God with a focus to<br />

assist the student, positive results will be evident.<br />

Systematic Instruction<br />

In Acts 11 and later in Acts 19, Paul and Barnabas<br />

taught the disciples in a systematic and organized fashion.<br />

Their program of instruction was neither haphazard nor<br />

slipshod. Some might view the teaching ministry of Jesus<br />

as “Laissez-faire,” or the “teach as we go” type of<br />

instructional format. Nothing that Jesus did was by<br />

accident, however. His ministry was personally<br />
