Satan was not created in his present, corrupt 

form. He was created finitely perfect. His 

original creation is described in Ezekiel 28. 

Satan is included as one created by Yeshua, 

because he is one of the invisible powers who 

owe their existence to the Son of God 

(Col. 1:16, 17).

Lucifer – The Morning Star

Helel 

Son of the Morning! Helel translated in the Latin as 

Lucifer 

(Isa. 14:12) means “shining one” or “star of 

the morning.” This was the Latin name for the 

planet Venus, the brightest object in the sky. He 

may have been the wisest and most 

beautiful of all God’s created beings who 

was originally placed in a position of 

authority over the cherubim surrounding 

the throne of God.

Ezekiel 28:1-2 

The word of the Lord came to me again, saying, 2 

“Son of man, say to the prince of Tyre, ‘Thus 

says the Lord God: 

“Because your heart is lifted up, 

And you say, ‘I am a god, 

I sit in the seat of gods, 

In the midst of the seas,’ 

Yet you are a man, and not a god, 

Though you set your heart as the heart of a god.


11 Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 

12 “Son of man, take up a lamentation for the king of 

Tyre, and say to him, ‘Thus says the Lord God: 

“You were the seal of perfection, 

Full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. 

13 You were in Eden, the garden of God; 

Every precious stone was your covering: 

The sardius, topaz, and diamond, 

Beryl, onyx, and jasper, 

Sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. 

The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes 

Was prepared for you on the day you were 

created.


14 “You were the anointed cherub who covers; 

I established you; 

You were on the holy mountain of God; 

You walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones. 

15 You were perfect in your ways from the day you were 

created, 

Till iniquity was found in you. 

16 “By the abundance of your trading 

You became filled with violence within, 

And you sinned; 

Therefore I cast you as a profane thing 

Out of the mountain of God; 

And I destroyed you, O covering cherub, 

From the midst of the fiery stones.


17 “Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; 

You corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor; 

I cast you to the ground, 

I laid you before kings, 

That they might gaze at you.

Prince of Tyre 

God calls the King of Tyre “Prince”. 

He is the Human king of Tyre a port city in 

Lebanon. 

God calls Satan the “King of Tyre” because 

he controls the human King of Tyre. 

Pride is the primary sin that brought down 

both the Human King of Tyre and Satan.

fiery stones.

When Did Satan Fall? 

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God 

created the heavens and the earth. 

2 The earth was without form, and 

void; and darkness was on the face 

of the deep.

Who created the heavens, 

Who is God, 

Who formed the earth and made it, 

Who has established it, 

Who did not create it in vain, 

Who formed it to be inhabited: 

“I am the Lord, and there is no other.


Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God 

created the heavens and the earth. 

2 The earth was without form, and 

void; and darkness was on the face 

of the deep.

The Vegetable Garden of Eden

Genesis 3 

Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the 

field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the 

woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every 

tree of the garden’?” 

2 And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the 

fruit of the trees of the garden; 3 but of the fruit of the 

tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, 

‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’ ” 

4 Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not 

surely die. 5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it 

your eyes will be opened, and 

you will be like God, 

knowing good and evil.”

Curse of the Serpent? 

Genesis 3:15 states, 

And I will put enmity 

Between you and the woman, 

And between your seed and her Seed; 

He shall bruise your head, 

And you shall bruise His heel.”

Sons of God? 

Gen 6:1 Now it came to pass, when 

men began to multiply on the face of 

the earth, and daughters were born to 

them, 2 that the sons of God saw the 

daughters of men, that they were 

beautiful; and they took wives for 

themselves of all whom they chose. 

Fallen Angels (Demons) had corrupted the seed of the women by defiling 

their offspring, creating a super-human/demon people who were destroyed 

by the flood. Only Noah and his family were spared.

Who were the sons of God?

3 And the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not 

strive with man forever, for he is indeed 

flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred 

and twenty years.” 4 There were giants on 

the earth in those days, and also 

afterward, when the sons of God came in 

to the daughters of men and they bore 

children to them. Those were the mighty 

men who were of old, men of renown.

wickedness of man was great in the 

earth, and that every intent of the 

thoughts of his heart was only evil 

continually. 6 And the Lord was sorry 

that He had made man on the earth, 

and He was grieved in His heart.

Messiah is the Creator 

Colossians 1:16 

For by Him all things were 

created that are in heaven and 

that are on earth, visible and 

invisible, whether thrones or 

dominions or principalities or 

powers. All things were created 

through Him and for Him.

Their Existence 

Though the exact time of their creation is never 

stated, we know they were created before the 

creation of the world. From the book of Job we are 

told that they were present when the earth was 

created (Job 38:4-7) so their creation was prior to 

the creation of the earth as described in Genesis 

one. 

“Where were you(Job) when I laid the foundations of the 

earth?

Or who stretched the line upon it? 

To what were its foundations fastened? 

Or who laid its cornerstone, 

When the morning stars sang together, 

And all the sons of God shouted for joy?

Agent of their Creation 

Scripture specifically states that Yeshua/Jesus the Messianic 

Person, as the one who created all things, is the creator of 

angels 

(cf. John 1:1-3 with Col. 1:16). 

The Deity of Messiah 

John 1:1 

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the 

Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 

The Pre-incarnate Work of the Messiah 

3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was 

made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of 

men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not 

comprehend it.

Agent of their Creation 

Scripture specifically states that the Messianic Person, as the 

one who created all things, is the creator of angels 

Col. 1:16 

16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven 

and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether 

thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All 

things were created through Him and for Him. 17 And He 

is before all things, and in Him all things consist.

In the OT there are references 

to demons under the names 

š‹¹”¸W sŒaµÔéÆr ,RSV ‘satyrs’, 

“hairy ones” note: Esau was hairy. 

(Lev. 17:7; 2 Ch. 11:15) and 

…·V sûeµd_ (Dt. 32:17; Ps. 106:37).

An interesting point. Esau was red and hairy. He was 

given the area of Southern Jordan known as Mount Seir 

in Edom. Edom means red. 

During the Messianic Kingdom Mount Seir in Edom will be 

given over to demons. 

Isaiah 34:8-16 

14 The wild beasts of the desert shall also meet with 

the jackals, 

And the wild goat shall bleat to its companion; 

Also the night creature shall rest there, 

And find for herself a place of rest.

Activities of Demons 

First, they try to block the purpose of God. One example of this is 

found in Daniel 10:10-14, where we learn that a leading demon held 

an angel of God captive for three weeks to try to prevent God’s 

revelation to Daniel. In the future, demons will aid in gathering the 

nations for Armageddon to try to halt God’s plan for the Second 

Coming (Rev. 16:12-16). 

A second general activity is to extend Satan’s authority over his 

cosmos by doing his bidding (Eph. 2:1-2; 6:11-12). 

The third broad demonic activity is God’s use of demons to carry out 

His own purposes, plan, and will. For example, a demon was used to 

torment Saul (I Sam. 16:14). A lying demon was used to arrange for 

the death of Ahab (I Ki. 22:19-23). And a demon was used to keep 

Paul humble (II Cor. 12:7).

3. Atmospheric heavens 

• Ephesians 2:2: ... And you He made alive, 

who were dead in trespasses and sins, 2 in 

which you once walked according to the 

course of this world, according to the 

prince of the power of the air, the spirit 

who now works in the sons of disobedience,

• Put on the whole armor of God, that 

you may be able to stand against the 

wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not 

wrestle against flesh and blood, but 

against principalities, against powers, 

against the rulers of the darkness of 

this age, against spiritual hosts of 

wickedness in the heavenly places.

Luke 10:18 

Satan led a rebellion 

18 And He said to them, 

“I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 

19 Behold, I give you the authority to trample on 

serpents and scorpions, and over all the 

power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any 

means hurt you. 

20 Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the 

spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice 

because your names are written in heaven.”

Satan’s Sin was Pride 

Pride, which is self-will, self-esteem, conceit, and 

egotism, is the usual definition of Lucifer’s sin. 

Lucifer’s self-will prompted him to unholy 

ambition. He repudiated the Creator and 

displayed dissatisfaction with the subordinate 

position to which he had been appointed. 

Lucifer’s ambition and self-promotion was used to 

advance himself to the highest heaven and into 

the likeness of the sovereign God of the universe.

3.Access to Heaven and Earth 

Job 1:6 ... 6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to 

present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among 

them. 7 And the Lord said to Satan, “From where do you come?” 

So Satan answered the Lord and said, “From going to and fro on the 

earth, and from walking back and forth on it.” 

8 Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant 

Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and 

upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?” 

9 So Satan answered the Lord and said, “Does Job fear God for 

nothing? 10 Have You not made a hedge around him, around his 

household, and around all that he has on every side? You have 

blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have 

increased in the land. 11 But now, stretch out Your hand and 

touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!” 

12 And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your 

power; only do not lay a hand on his person.” 

So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.


Job 1:8 

8 Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My 

servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a 

blameless and upright man, one who fears God and 

shuns evil?” 9 So Satan answered the Lord and said, 

“Does Job fear God for nothing? 10 Have You not made a 

hedge around him, around his household, and around all 

that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of 

his hands, and his possessions have increased in the 

land. 11 But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all 

that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!” 

12 And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is 

in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.” 

So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.


Revelation: 12:10 

10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in 

heaven, 

“Now salvation, and strength, and the 

kingdom of our God, and the power 

of His Messiah (Christ) have come, 

for the accuser of our brethren, 

who accused them before our God 

day and night, has been cast down.


1 John 2:10 

My little children, these things I 

write to you, so that you may not 

sin. And if anyone sins, we have an 

Advocate with the Father, 

Yeshua the Messiah, the righteous. 2 

And He Himself is the propitiation 

for our sins, and not for ours only 

but also for the whole world.

Peter is rebuked 

Satan wanted to stop the sacrifice of Yeshua. 

Matthew 16:21 

21 From that time Yeshua began to show to His disciples 

that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things 

from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be 

killed, and be raised the third day. 

22 Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, 

saying, “Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not 

happen to You!” 

23 But He turned and said to Peter, 

“Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense 

to Me, for you are not mindful of the 

things of God, but the things of men.”

Satan Tempts Yeshua 

Satan wanted Yeshua to die before the cross. 

Luke 4:1 

4 Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, 

returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit 

into the wilderness, 2 being tempted for forty days 

by the devil. 

9 Then he brought Him to Jerusalem, set Him on the 

pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, “If You are 

the Son of God, throw Yourself down from here. 

If Yeshua died in any other way other than as the 

Passover Lamb on the cross no one would be saved.

Satan controlled Judas 

Judas was selected by Yeshua. 

Luke 22:3 Then Satan entered Judas, surnamed 

Iscariot, who was numbered among the twelve. 

John 17:12 

Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of 

them is lost except the son of perdition, 

that the Scripture might be fulfilled. 

15 I do not pray that You should take them out of the 

world, but that You should keep them from 

the evil one.

Satan want to pulverize us. 

Luke 22:31 

31 And the Lord said, 

“Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has 

asked for you, that he may sift you 

as wheat. 32 But I have prayed for 

you, that your faith should not fail; 

and when you have returned to Me, 

strengthen your brethren.”

Resist the Counterfeit Lion 

1 Peter 5:8 

8 Be sober, be vigilant; because 

your adversary the devil walks 

about like a roaring lion, seeking 

whom he may devour. 

9 Resist him, steadfast in the 

faith,

Counterfeit Angel of Light 

2 Corinthians 11:12 

13 For such are false apostles, deceitful 

workers, transforming themselves into 

apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder! For 

Satan himself transforms himself into 

an angel of light.

4. Earth, during the tribulation 

Revelation 12:7-12: And there 

was war in heaven. Michael and 

his angels fought against the 

dragon, and the dragon and his 

angels fought back. But he was 

not strong enough, and they 

lost their place in heaven. The 

great dragon was hurled down 

— that ancient serpent called 

the devil, or Satan, who leads 

the whole world astray. He was 

hurled to the earth, and his 

angels with him.

4. Earth, during the tribulation 

Revelation 12:10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in 

heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the 

kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have 

come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused 

them before our God day and night, has been cast 

down. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the 

Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they 

did not love their lives to the death. 12 Therefore 

rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe 

to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the 

devil has come down to you, having great wrath, 

because he knows that he has a short time.”

5. Confined to the Abyss 

• Revelation 9:1-11: The fifth angel sounded his trumpet, 

and I saw a star that had fallen from the sky to the 

earth. The star was given the key to the shaft of the 

Abyss. When he opened the Abyss, smoke rose from it 

like the smoke from a gigantic furnace. The sun and sky 

were darkened by the smoke from the Abyss. And out 

of the smoke locusts came down upon the earth and 

were given power like that of scorpions of the earth. 

They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or 

any plant or tree, but only those people who did not 

have the seal of God on their foreheads. They were not 

given power to kill them, but only to torture them for 

five months. And the agony they suffered was like that 

of the sting of a scorpion when it strikes a man. During 

those days men will seek death, but will not find it; they 

will long to die, but death will elude them.... They had 

as king over them the angel of the Abyss, whose name 

in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek, Apollyon.

Confined to the Abyss 

• Revelation 11:7: Now when they have finished their 

testimony, the beast that comes up from the Abyss will 

attack them, and overpower and kill them. 

Revelation 17:8: The beast, which you saw, once was, 

now is not, and will come up out of the Abyss and go to 

his destruction. 

Revelation 20:1-3: And I saw an angel coming down out 

of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in 

his hand a great chain. He seized the dragon, that 

ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound 

him for a thousand years. He threw him into the Abyss, 

and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from 

deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years 

were ended. After that, he must be set free for a short 

time.

6. Lake of Fire 

• Revelation 19:20: But the beast was captured, and with 

him the false prophet who had performed the miraculous 

signs on his behalf. With these signs he had deluded 

those who had received the mark of the beast and 

worshiped his image. The two of them were thrown alive 

into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. 

• Revelation 20:10: And the devil, who deceived them, 

was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the 

beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will 

be tormented day and night for ever and ever. 

Revelation 14-15 

• Matthew 25:41: “Then he will say to those on his left, 

‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal 

fire prepared for the devil and his angels.'"

The Earth 

• Was created as the Mineral Garden - Ezekiel 28 

• Then judged and God created the Botanical Garden of 

Eden of Adam and Eve 

• HaSatan Usurped the authority from Adam and is now 

the “god of this world” 

• Present State as we know it now. 

• The Earth will be renovated for the Messianic Kingdom 

back to the Botanical Garden of Eden state for 1000 

years. 

• The New Heaven and New Earth will be like the Mineral 

Garden of Eden

The New Jerusalem

The New Jerusalem 

Revelation 21:9 

9 Then one of the seven angels who had the seven 

bowls filled with the seven last plagues came to me and 

talked with me, saying, “Come, I will show you the 

bride, the Lamb’s wife.” 10 And he carried me away in 

the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed 

me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out 

of heaven from God, 11 having the glory of God. Her 

light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper 

stone, clear as crystal. 12 Also she had a great and high 

wall with twelve gates, and twelve angels at the gates, 

and names written on them, which are the names of 

the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: 13 three gates 

on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on 

the south, and three gates on the west.
