On March 6th, 2011
Oneida Police Officers
sponsored a Tour with 10
kids from our community
of Lambeau Field.
Community Resource
Officer Matthew Ninham
was able to contact
Rueben Zayas who
works security for The
Green Bay Packers and
he was gracious enough
to invite the group to
Lambeau Field. Rueben
also had his good friend
and Director of Security
Operations for The Green
Bay Packers Jerry Parins,
help him give a personal
behind the scenes tour of
Lambeau Field. They
both expressed what a
privilege it was for them
to give the kids and
Officers who escorted
them, a personal tour.
They showed the group
the weight room, took
them through the tunnel
and onto the field, the
jersey & equipment
room, the Super Bowl
trophy display area, basketball
court, and locker
room. This was possibly
a once in a lifetime
opportunity and an
opportunity to see what
most people don't get a
chance to see on the normal
tour. Jerry and
Rueben shared many sto-
I ASK FOR YOUR VOTE
For two terms, you elected me as an
Oneida Business Committee
Councilman. I’ve done my best to serve
you, the Oneida people. I stand on my
record of service.
Now, I ask for your support as I run for
Tribal Chairman.
LEADERSHIP
Over the years I’ve been blessed with
knowing Indian leaders whom I feel
were throwbacks to our history as Indian
people. Our past leaders, many now
gone, never considered their personal
interests and wealth above the wellbeing
of the people. These were leaders
the people could trust and depend on.
They made decisions that served the
elderly, the ill, and the children who
came first and above all else.
Today, leadership responsibilities have
increased. Oneidas are in need of opportunities
for fair employment at fair
wages, educational opportunities,
affordable housing and quality health
care. Our veterans deserve the continued
benefits and recognition they earned
while in the service of our country.
GENERAL TRIBAL
COUNCIL
As the Chairman and as the record
shows, I will continue to support the
GTC. Your work as Tribal members par-
ries and shared some of
the history of The Green
Bay Packers. Our thanks
go out to Rueben and
Jerry as well as the Green
Bay Packer organization
for their generosity and
kindness they showed by
allowing us a behind the
scenes look of The World
Champion Green Bay
Packers! I also wanted to
thank The Oneida
Recreation Center for
making there van available
to transport all the
kids. The kids were very
excited and I could tell
by the smiles on their
faces. What a great time
they had.
Local
ticipating in your governmental decision
making has allowed the Oneida Tribe to
practice a unique form of democracy
very few people in the world are able to
participate in.
As Chairman, I will keep the GTC
meetings orderly and get the work of the
people accomplished.
OUR RESOURCES
As Oneidas, we participate in Indian
gaming. Aside from Federal and State
grants, the Tribe uses gaming profits to
fund per capita payments, educational
scholarships, GTC stipends and other
initiatives. But we must be diligent. As
Chairman, I will serve the people.
The record shows that I have voted for
the projects that will benefit all of the
people. In making decisions about
investments, and fully aware that our
track record has not provided the results
we hoped for, I make sure that I get all
the answers needed to protect the
resources for all the people. Always for
the people.
