FORSIS GmbH has developed the <strong>MOBILE</strong> series<br />
with the objective to find the optimum solution for these<br />
contradictions and dichotomies.<br />
You can find the results in the data sheets for<br />
yourself. The <strong>MOBILE</strong> series is a new equipment<br />
platform perfectly combining performance, weight and<br />
dimensions.<br />

Aerial technology according to IEEE802.11 a/g/n<br />
FORSIS now offers its own MIMO (Multiple-Input-Multiple-Output) aerial for all<br />
models. MIMO aerial systems provide a higher data transfer rate, a greater range<br />
and are not only are “immune” against multipath propagation but even employ it.<br />
This makes a MIMO system particularly suitable for use in industrial inner zones<br />
without direct visual contact between PC and an AP/Router. In addition to implement<br />
the n-standard, our objective was to develop a robust aerial (safety class IP65).<br />

Cable protection / cable strain relief - terminal side<br />
All cable connections are located at the back and lead downwards. The cable<br />
strain relief sits on a holder with 4 x screw type terminals. The holder is fixed with<br />
a knurled head screw and can be removed by it. Specifically: Simple and onceonly<br />
installation of cables. Cable holder remains at installation site even if device is<br />
exchanged. Protective cover - back view A protective cover can lock up the entire<br />
connection panel to protect plug connections.<br />
The cover is secured by 2 spacer bolts and 2 knurled screws.<br />
Mounting options<br />
The aluminium mounting plate's main function is to mechanically take up various<br />
mounting systems. A VESA 100 standard drill template is available. Thanks to<br />
standardised connection methods, all popular suppliers of mounting systems are<br />
supported.<br />

Input support<br />
All FORSIS devices provide for the connection of a keyboard.<br />
PS/2 or USB interfaces are provided.<br />
Any kind and type of external keyboard may be connected.<br />
Naturally, FORSIS provides special keyboards for the respective operational<br />
environment. Please also note our separate data sheet.<br />
Recording bar codes<br />
All FORSIS PC systems may be complemented with any kind of identification<br />
device for the recording of one or two-dimensional bar codes. All necessary<br />
interfaces exist such as PS/2, serial with power supply and USB. We offer a<br />
wide range of manufacturers.<br />

Radio and aerial technologies<br />
The market provides numerous and different WLAN adapters, aerials and<br />
aerial terminals.<br />
WLAN card: FORSIS devices always provide standard interfaces or<br />
extension slots so that current WLAN adapters of different manufacturers<br />
may be integrated.<br />
WLAN aerial: To meet the high demands on data acquisition in industrial<br />
environments, FORSIS has developed an aerial according to the<br />
standard IEEE802.11 a/b/g/n. This aerial meets safety class IP65 and is<br />
impervious to mechanical damage.<br />
We are happy to assist in your selection according to your radio system and<br />
network structure. Our open device architecture supports all established<br />
suppliers of radio systems.<br />
Storage and assembly<br />
It is easy to underestimate the importance of mounting and assembly of<br />
data acquisition devices. In general, production environments do not provide<br />
unlimited space. Add to this dependencies on voltage and data network<br />
supply. FORSIS provides complementing solutions for the accommodation of<br />
devices in stationary and mobile environments.<br />
