FORSIS GmbH has developed the MOBILE series
with the objective to find the optimum solution for these
contradictions and dichotomies.
You can find the results in the data sheets for
yourself. The MOBILE series is a new equipment
platform perfectly combining performance, weight and
dimensions.

Special features in the power supply of the MOBILE series

Aerial technology according to IEEE802.11 a/g/n
FORSIS now offers its own MIMO (Multiple-Input-Multiple-Output) aerial for all
models. MIMO aerial systems provide a higher data transfer rate, a greater range
and are not only are “immune” against multipath propagation but even employ it.
This makes a MIMO system particularly suitable for use in industrial inner zones
without direct visual contact between PC and an AP/Router. In addition to implement
the n-standard, our objective was to develop a robust aerial (safety class IP65).

Cable protection / cable strain relief - terminal side
All cable connections are located at the back and lead downwards. The cable
strain relief sits on a holder with 4 x screw type terminals. The holder is fixed with
a knurled head screw and can be removed by it. Specifically: Simple and onceonly
installation of cables. Cable holder remains at installation site even if device is
exchanged. Protective cover - back view A protective cover can lock up the entire
connection panel to protect plug connections.
The cover is secured by 2 spacer bolts and 2 knurled screws.
Mounting options
The aluminium mounting plate's main function is to mechanically take up various
mounting systems. A VESA 100 standard drill template is available. Thanks to
standardised connection methods, all popular suppliers of mounting systems are
supported.

Input support
All FORSIS devices provide for the connection of a keyboard.
PS/2 or USB interfaces are provided.
Any kind and type of external keyboard may be connected.
Naturally, FORSIS provides special keyboards for the respective operational
environment. Please also note our separate data sheet.
Recording bar codes
All FORSIS PC systems may be complemented with any kind of identification
device for the recording of one or two-dimensional bar codes. All necessary
interfaces exist such as PS/2, serial with power supply and USB. We offer a
wide range of manufacturers.

Radio and aerial technologies
The market provides numerous and different WLAN adapters, aerials and
aerial terminals.
WLAN card: FORSIS devices always provide standard interfaces or
extension slots so that current WLAN adapters of different manufacturers
may be integrated.
WLAN aerial: To meet the high demands on data acquisition in industrial
environments, FORSIS has developed an aerial according to the
standard IEEE802.11 a/b/g/n. This aerial meets safety class IP65 and is
impervious to mechanical damage.
We are happy to assist in your selection according to your radio system and
network structure. Our open device architecture supports all established
suppliers of radio systems.
Storage and assembly
It is easy to underestimate the importance of mounting and assembly of
data acquisition devices. In general, production environments do not provide
unlimited space. Add to this dependencies on voltage and data network
supply. FORSIS provides complementing solutions for the accommodation of
devices in stationary and mobile environments.
