at Yamaha, racing has always been an important part of our product development and 

evaluation process. That’s equally true of our performance line: GYTR. To let us prove 

our point, look no further than our high-performance Ported Cylinder Head Assembly. It’s 

backed by some of our most extensive development and comprehensive testing to date. 

We perfected the head fl ow characteristics and then meticulously digitized the ports to get the precise 

dimensions for CNC machining. Unlike the fl ow variations you can get from hand porting, CNC porting allows us to perfectly reproduce the maximized 

fl ow design with every cylinder head we manufacture. The head comes as a full, ready-to-install assembly complete with valve train and GYTR performance 

camshafts. This cylinder head, along with our complete GYTR Race Exhaust System are designed to compete at the top level… and they’ve already done 

exactly that with Dustin Nelson snagging the QuadCross ® championship this past year aboard his YFZ450R equipped with all of GYTR’s top performance

Through extensive development, with fl ow bench, dyno, and 

track testing, we achieved optimum power from our GYTR 

ported cylinder head. Once we perfected the head fl ow

Increase engine compression ratio to 13.2:1 (stock is 11.4:1). 

Offers 1.5 to 3 hp increase throughout most of the power

clearance when higher lift camshafts are used. Includes piston

GYTR clutch components are precision-machined from aerospace-quality 

aluminum alloys with a unique hard coating. 

This provides superior performance and clutch feel, as well

5. Auto Tune for Power Commander ® V 

Once installed, the Auto Tune Kit monitors the fuel mixture (by 

installing the included Wide Band O2 sensor in the exhaust). 

It then sends this information to the Power Commander ® V 

and automatically corrects it while you ride. Each map has 

preset air/fuel ratio values included that have been found to 

be the best overall settings. This lets you simply plug in the 

unit and let it do the work. For advanced users that would 

like to change the air/fuel ratios from baseline, they are fully 

adjustable. Each throttle opening/rpm combination is individually 

adjustable. For most models of bikes it is also possible 

to adjust the air/fuel ratios “per gear.” This gives you total 

control of the fueling in every gear and throttle/ rpm area if
