GENERAL INFORMATION<br />
1. Headquarters and Registration<br />
Lions Park Clubhouse at least one (1) hour before your first game.<br />
the following will be required at registration:<br />
• completed Team Roster<br />
• proof of date of birth /player cards<br />
• proof of Permission to Travel from District Association<br />
(teams from outside <strong>Niagara</strong> region only)<br />
• proof of Medical and Personal Liability Insurance for all players<br />
and coaching staff (teams form outside Ontario only)<br />
All players must be registered as competitive players with the participating<br />
club. three (3) guest players will be allowed. Any violation of the above<br />
rules will result in dismissal form the tournament and the tournament fee<br />
will be forfeited.<br />
2. Medical Assistance<br />
All fields will be in telephone contact.<br />
WEST NIAGARA TOURNAMENT RULES<br />
1. Laws<br />
All games will be played in accordance with the F.I.F.A. Laws of the Game<br />
as observed by the Ontario Soccer Association.<br />
2. Home Team Responsibilities<br />
the first team listed on the schedule is the home team. the home team<br />
will supply the game ball. If, at referee’s discretion, the home team<br />
can’t supply a suitable game ball, the away team will have the option of<br />
providing one. Where playing colours clash (at referee’s discretion), the<br />
home team will change to distinct colours.<br />
3. Game Sheets<br />
both teams shall complete their game sheet and hand it back to the<br />
referee prior to kickoff. each sheet must be completed in full. Only the<br />
team officials that have signed the game sheet are allowed to assist the<br />
coach.<br />
4. Number of Players<br />
A team may register eighteen (18) players. A minimum of seven (7)<br />
players at scheduled kick-off time constitutes a team in all games.<br />
5. Duration of Play<br />
Preliminary rounds – 2 x 25 minute halves, 5-minute halftime. tied games<br />
will not go to extra time. (All elimination games including:<br />
crossover games between 2nd and 3rd place teams will go<br />
directly to penalty kicks, if tied at the end of regulation time,<br />
to determine the winner).<br />
Finals, Semi, Quarter – 2 x 25 minute halves, 5 minute halftime and Penalty<br />
kicks in accordance with F.I.F.A. rules, if required (applies<br />
to all age groups from u11 to u14).<br />
Finals, Semi, Quarter – 2 x 30 minute halves, 5 minute halftime and Penalty<br />
kicks in accordance with F.I.F.A. rules, if required (applies<br />
to all age groups from u15 to u18).
