14. Game Officials Shirts<br />
In case of a colour clash between game officials and participating teams<br />
shirts, the game officials shall change their shirts.<br />
15. Participating Players<br />
All players must provide a competitive registration book/card at time of<br />
registration. recreational players on trial basis with the participating team<br />
must obtain a “trial player” book from their association (this book is the<br />
same as any other competitive player’s book, except it will note that the<br />
participating player is with the team on trial basis).<br />
16. Application To Travel<br />
All participating teams not registered through <strong>Niagara</strong> Soccer Association<br />
must produce an Application To Travel Form signed by their District<br />
Association.<br />
17. Liability Insurance<br />
Proof of Medical and Personal Liability Insurance for all players and<br />
coaching staff is required at time of team registration (teams from outside<br />
Ontario only).<br />
WEST NIAGARA TOURNAMENT RULES<br />
FOR MINI-SOCCER<br />
1. Laws<br />
All games will be played in accordance with the F.I.F.A. Laws of the Game<br />
as observed by the Ontario Soccer Association. exceptions for mini-<br />
soccer are noted herein.<br />
2. Home Team Responsibilities<br />
the first team listed on the schedule is the home team. the home team<br />
will supply the game ball. If, at referee’s discretion, the home team can’t<br />
supply a suitable game ball, the away team will have the option of providing<br />
one. Where playing colours clash (at referee’s discretion), the home<br />
team will change to distinct colours.<br />
3. Game Sheets<br />
both teams shall complete their game sheet and hand it back to the<br />
referee prior to kickoff. each sheet must be completed in full. Only the<br />
team officials that have signed the game sheet are allowed to assist the<br />
coach.<br />
4. Number of Players<br />
A team may register fourteen (14) players. the teams shall play 7-a-side.<br />
A minimum of five (5) players at scheduled kick-off time constitutes a team<br />
in all games.<br />
5. Duration of Play<br />
Preliminary rounds – 2 x 20 minute halves, 5-minute halftime. tied<br />
games will not go to extra time. (the crossover<br />
elimination games on Saturday between 2nd and<br />
3rd place teams will go directly to penalty kicks, if<br />
tied at the end of regulation time, to determine the<br />
winner).
