Standard Risk Control Arrangements<br />

O. An appointed person must inspect the installation prior to the temporary electrics going live<br />

P. An inspection certificate must be requested for any test or inspection works carried out<br />

Q. The electrical distribution equipment and cabling within the site cabins must be formally inspected and<br />

tested in accordance with IEE Wiring Regulations every 12 months<br />

On <strong>Site</strong> Distribution of Electrics<br />

R. 240V (and higher) temporary distribution cabling will only be carried out by those qualified and<br />

competent to do so (NICEIC/ECA/SELECT)<br />

S. 240V (and higher) cabling shall be armoured<br />

T. All cables must be in good order, supported adequately, have correct bending radii and be clear of<br />

sharp objects<br />

U. Cables must be run in such a manner as to reduce the risk of creating a trip or overhead hazard<br />

V. The connection and the entire distribution network shall be inspected and tested in accordance with<br />

IEE Wiring Regulations every 3 months<br />

W. Where cables risk being damaged such as where there is heavy pedestrian or vehicular traffic they<br />

must be adequately protected by mechanical barriers<br />

X. Overhead cables must be adequately identified<br />
