Heart & Sole Walkers are a group of dedicated
participants who raise a minimum of $500 for
each Walk. In 2010, Heart & Sole Walkers
raised $1.5 million to relieve and eliminate
hunger in Massachusetts.
Project Bread strives to be as accurate
as possible in listing our supporters. We
appreciate your help in correcting any
errors or omissions.
Heart & Sole Walkers
We gratefully acknowledge over 1,500 Heart & Sole Walkers
who rallied the support of their friends, neighbors, and
coworkers to raise $1.5 million to feed the hungry. Heart &
Sole Walkers who raised more than $1,000 are also part of
our Leadership Circle.
“I started fundraising for The Walk for Hunger in 1988 when
a coworker from Bain & Company asked me to join the team.
They told me a little about Project Bread and The Walk for
Hunger and I got all choked up and teary-eyed. My children
were six and eight at the time and I could never imagine my
children being hungry, so I joined the team. My hope is that
one day, hunger — as we know it — as we see it — and as we
feel it — will be a thing of the past. But until that day, as long
as there’s a need and I am able, I’m on board. ”
