1ST GRADE NEWS
November is an exciting time for the
first graders. We will be learning about
the Pilgrims and the Wampanoags, who
were the tribe to feast with the Pilgrims
on the first Thanksgiving. We will be
celebrating this historic event by having
a feast of our own on Friday, November
18 th . During our feast, we will be
making noisemakers, jewelry, playing
games, reading stories and eating some
snacks. The first grade teachers are very
thankful for their wonderful students
this year!
3 RD GRADE NEWS
Fall is in the air, and students continue to
greet their teachers each day with
enthusiasm for learning and meeting the
challenges of third grade. The students
just completed Stanford Testing, and each
child came prepared each day to do
his/her best. We enjoyed some great
afternoons as students shared favorite
books, things they were proud of and
favorite pictures. Next we will be writing
"Pumpkin Stories" which gives each
student an opportunity to use their
creative writing skills, along with facts, to
instruct us on how they would grow their
own pumpkins. Finally, on November
10th, the Third Grade Class will be taking
a wonderful field trip to see "Once Upon
A Mattress", a play performed by Morton
West High School. A big thank you to
Carli’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Delmonico,
for making all the arrangements. We
can't wait.
