• Let’s Talk Science / Bridges to Science outreach activities:<br />
In late 2009, I have founded together with a few colleagues a new science outreach<br />
program at the <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Lethbridge</strong> called “Bridges to Sciences” targeting local<br />
high schools. To include graduate student volunteers, we partnered in summer 2010<br />
with the national Let’s Talk Science organization. Since then, I am the lead organizer<br />
<strong>of</strong> this science outreach program and faculty supervisor for the graduate student<br />
coordinator.<br />
Outcomes:<br />
o More than 13 high school visits in first year (2010) reaching > 350 students<br />
o Already 7 high school visits in fall 2011 reaching ~ 200 students<br />
o Participation at <strong>Lethbridge</strong> Science Fair 2011 reaching ~ 50 children<br />
