1) that you shall submit an undertaking from your guide/co-guide stating that he/she shall not<br />

have more than 8 registered Ph.D. candidates in the capacity as guide/co-guide (In prescribed<br />

form).<br />

2) that you shall be solely responsible for the authenticity of the information and document<br />

submitted by you for claiming the exemptions from Ph.D. Entrance Test . In the event it is<br />

noticed that exemption was claimed on the basis of misleading/ false /incorrect information,<br />

the registration would be liable to be cancelled<br />

3) that you shall submit the <strong>letter</strong> of approval/renewal of approval of place of research The<br />

registration is subject to the approval of place of research and in the event the place of<br />

research would be not be approved till the date of submission of thesis, you would not be<br />

permitted to submit the thesis.<br />

In addition to above, the candidate shall follow the instructions as mentioned<br />

below :


a) He/she shall submit his original qualifying degree certificate which shall be returned to him<br />

after verification;<br />

b) He/she shall pay six monthly retention fee of Rs. 225/- every six months for retaining his/her<br />

name on the register of research students, the payment of six monthly retention fee are 15 th<br />

<strong>January</strong> and 15 th July every year, Failure to remit the retention fee within the schedule date<br />

shall be charged late fee Rs. 25/- for each term.<br />

c) The course work is compulsory and it will be treated as pre-Ph.D. preparation. Completion<br />

Report of the course work shall be submitted to the Ph.D. Cell by the Guide through the<br />

Head, of the Department of the Place of Research;<br />

d) That you shall submit to the Controller of Examinations through the Head, Place of Research<br />

and the guide the progress report of your research after every six months. If you fail to<br />

submit three reports consecutively, your registration may be cancelled by Research and<br />

Recognition Committee on the recommendations of the guide and of Head of Place of<br />

Research.<br />

e) This <strong>letter</strong> is subject to correction, if any.<br />

Report of the course work shall be submitted to the Ph.D. Cell by the Guide through the<br />

Head, of the Department of the Place of Research;<br />

d) That you shall submit to the Controller of Examinations through the Head, Place of Research<br />

and the guide the progress report of your research after every six months. If you fail to<br />

submit three reports consecutively, your registration may be cancelled by Research and<br />

Recognition Committee on the recommendations of the guide and of Head of Place of<br />

Research.<br />
