Another stunning rose from the David Austin collection.
Large cupped blooms of bright yellow in an old fashioned style.
A good continuity of blooms throughout the summer and autumn. Shiny
camellia-like mid green foliage.
It was named to help raise funds for the charity Population Concern.
As with most of this range it has a wonderful perfume.
HARLOW CARR (Aushouse)
English Shrub Rose. 2004. 4ft
A tough little rose that bears flowers of the most perfect formation—
shallow cups of the purest rose pink.
These hold their form to the end, the occasional petal falling back to give
a pleasing effect.
The plant has an excellent bushy habit, maturing into an attractively
rounded shrub with its flowers almost to ground level.
The young foliage is bronze at first, later becoming green—and the whole
plant is of truly ‘Old rose’ character.
There is a strong, pure old rose fragrance that has been described as
reminiscent of rose-based cosmetics.
Harlow Carr is particularly healthy and free flowering plus partial shade tolerant.

A fine display of English Roses has been created there.
HERITAGE (Ausblush)
English Shrub Rose. 1984. 4ft-5ft
Lovely peony shaped blooms of blush pink adorn this large English
shrub rose.
After the first flush of flowers the bush continues to show colour
through summer and autumn. Has a good covering of dark green
semi gloss foliage.
As with most English roses the fragrance is excellent with overtones
of fruit, honey and carnation on a myrrh background.
