David Austin English Roses
Particularly large, apricot and pink flowers of shallow, saucer like formation,
with numerous petals which gradually re-curve to form a rosette
shape. Needs a good fertile soil to perform well in the UK but a bit
of TLC pays off handsomely. It has a wonderful fragrance similar in
style to an Old Rose, but with a sumptuous fruity note reminiscent of
fresh peaches an apricot.
Named for Crabtree & Evelyn who used it in their range of rose
perfumes.

English Shrub/Climbing Rose. 1999. 3ft-5ft
Another lovely rose from David Austin with that old fashioned look.
Beautiful dark crimson/purple blooms on a strong vigorous bush. The
blooms emerge as a dark crimson colour, eventually turning to a most
pleasing shade of rich purple.
David Austin believes that this lovely rose is one of the best purple/
crimson varieties he has bred.
Has a powerful Old Rose fragrance.
With support can also be grown as a short climber.
Named after a character in Shakespeare's 'Henry 1V'
GENTLE HERMIONE (Ausrumba)
English Shrub Rose. 2005. 4ft
Perfectly formed flowers of true Old Rose character. Lovely soft blush
pink petals on the outside with pure pink at the centre.
An attractive shrub rose of medium height and the blooms are particularly
resistant to rain.
A strong classic old rose perfume with a hint of myrrh.
Hermione was the faithful wife of Leontes, the King of Sicilia and
mother of Perdita in Shakespeare's "The Winter's Tale"
