Nirma Institute of Technology represents India!!
What a setup! The boxing ring of the stadium was
full of cheering crowd.
The four day event saw some very heated action on
the game field.
The Indian National Robocon was jointly organised by Doordarshan (Prasar Bharati of India) and
Maharashtra Academy of Engineering (MAE) at Shiv Chhatrapati Krida Sankul, Balewadi in Pune
from March 2 to 5. The contest attracted 57 institutes of national repute and Nirma Institute of
Technology, Ahmedabad was declared as national winner. They will represent India in the ABU
ROBOCON 2011 Bangkok on August 28. This is will be their 5 th participation in the international
arena.

Robocon, besides providing a great learning opportunity to the budding engineers and their teachers
towards highlighting the increasing role of robotics in the days to come, also offers a scintillating
spectacle to watch. DDI has been promoting this unique annual robotic contest to propagate the
significance of scientific development through broadcasting since 2002.
