Friday, 01/22/10 will be 

the final day of the 1 st Semester 

and will be a half 

day for students due to the 

in-service for staff. 

If it snows on an examination 

day, students will take 

the missed exams upon 

their return to school. If 

there is a two hour delayed 

opening, exams will be 

given beginning at 9:50 

a.m. on the assigned day. 

(9:50 - 11:10 am, 11:20 - 

12:45 p.m., 12:50-2:20 

p.m.) 

Vocational students will be 

taking vocational exams 

during class time. 

CIE students should go to 

their jobs at 12:25 p.m. 

Student lunches will be 

available whenever students 

have free time after 

9:20. Soup and sandwiches 

will be available to 

students until 12:30 PM. 

Students should make up 

any missed exams after 

the exam period with the 

approval of the instructor. 

Any student making up 

his / her exam the next

Meredith Gaffney and Paula 

Chukrallah coordinated a 

fundraising effort with the 

Spanish Honor Society 

and Children‟s Home Society, 

an orphanage in Trenton, 

NJ. Students collected 

gifts to donate to the orphanage 

while the teachers 

collaborated with a local 

company to inquire if they 

might be able to make a 

monetary donation. 

Paula Chukrallah was able 

to secure a $2,000 donation 

on behalf of North Hunterdon 

High School, from a 

company located in Princeton 

called Novo Nordisk. 

Many thanks to Mrs. 

Chukrallah, Mrs. Gaffney, 

our students and Novo 

Nordisk for their efforts to 

help those in need. 

Club Corner 

Student Council 

Student Council, Key Club 

and FBLA hosted a coat 

drive in December. Approximately 

175 coats have 

been donated. Thank you 

to the faculty, students, 

parents and community 

members who participated 

in this project.

play as delegates from 

world nations to debate 

and resolve hypothetical 

world problems. Last year, 

North Hunterdon was 

awarded Outstanding Delegation, 

which would be a 

great honor to bring back 

to North Hunterdon.

Sheena Chatterjee 

Sheena Chatterjee „11 is a 

third year varsity member of 

the Girl‟s Swim team, swimming 

butterfly, backstroke 

and relays. During her freshman 

year, Sheena was named 

Second Team All Conference 

for her top-10 finish in the 

100 butterfly at the Skyland 

Conference meet. She was 

also the top point scorer for 

the North team and named 

Rookie of the Year. Last year,

Victor Razuk „10 is a senior

team and is a fourth year varsity

here. It is a time that isn't easy to be away from our families and friends,

Dear Students and Staff of North Hunterdon High School: 

19 December 2009 

I am writing to say a big “thank you” for the Operation Shoebox New 

Jersey / Operation Lion Pride packages I recently received. Gifts 

like these make a big difference over here and you need to know how 

much they are appreciated. I am personally amazed at the amount of 

organization and work put into these packages by your school and you 

should be very proud of your efforts. The snacks, personal items, 

cards, letters will go a long way to making many soldiers’ lives a 

bit more comfortable here. 

I am a captain in the United States Army and I am stationed at Phoenix 

Base, Baghdad, Iraq. Baghdad is a hot, dusty, and dirty city and 

we have a tough job but we are accomplishing good things here. I have 

been in Iraq for nearly 10 months and will finally get to go home 

next February. A year is a long time to be away from my wife and two 

children (ages 13 and 16) but I know that they are doing just fine. 

Please know that your gifts to us here will make our families back 

home happy as well as they know we are being taken good care of! 

I would like to wish you all Happy Holidays. Again, THANK YOU for
