National Museum

international Master Classes
and Jazz Days
Since 1970, the International Master Courses
and Jazz Days have taken place regularly in
the summer. Internationally renowned
instructors teach talented musicians from
near and far. You will have the opportunity
to enjoy these musical activities as well.

Walser Heritage Museum
In the 13th century, immigrants from Wallis
(Valais), the Walser, journeyed through the
country. Some of them settled high above
the valley on a beautiful spot of land. Their
descendents still live there, and their
language remains a characteristic of the
Walser community of Triesenberg. Not only
on a walk through the village, but also in
the Walser Heritage Museum, you'll find
many testimonies of this exciting culture.

Liechtenstein is always worth a visit. Every
season boasts its customs and traditions even
in our modern times: Advent and Christmas
markets, crazy Carnival days featuring topsyturvy,
bizarre parades, Funkensonntag (Spark
Sunday) when the witch banishes the winter,
vintage and cooking festivals, fairs throughout
the country, the autumn «Körbsafäscht»,
the return from the alps where the cows are
decorated with flowers and «cow hearts» and
so on and so forth. Exciting entertainment is
guaranteed.

Liechtenstein can look back upon a
many-sided past. In historical buildings,
museums and other exhibition spaces,
this history is chronicled both in permanent
exhibits and in rotation. Travel through the
country and discover the exhibits presented
in DoMuS, the museum and gallery be longing
to the community of Schaan, the
Calculator Museum in Schaan, the Gasometer
in Triesen, the Pfrundhaus (Benefice
House) in Eschen, as well as «Küefer Martis
Huus» (Marti the Cooper’s House) in
Ruggell. Or take time to admire historic
sites, such as the Rural Residential Museum
«Biedermann House» in Schellenberg, the
Schellenberg Ruins, the Church Hill of
Bendern or the Red House in Vaduz.
